Anyone have a review? Also, do the entrees come with a salad?

Planning on eating here our last night of August 2016 trip. Staying at Beach Club Resort.

Thanks!

I went there for lunch last week. I had the lobster roll with fries and the cheesecake dessert. The cheesecake was tiny - it wasn't a slice, it was a little round bit with a fruit topping on it. I was disappointed at that, but the lobster roll was ok.

AFAIK, the accompaniments listed on the menu are all that comes with any of the entrees, so if it doesn't say salad, there's no salad. There are salads on the appetizer menu that you can order separately if you want one.

We really enjoyed eating at Captain's Grille in Dec for dinner. I don't think the entrees come with salads. We ordered the fried rock shrimp for an app. Then the N.Y. strip steak, snow crab legs, & the pan-seared chicken breast. Everything was absolutely delicious. And our server was outstanding.

We had a fabulous dinner here. One of the best we've experienced at Disney. I don't recall any salad with the meal. Come to think of it I don't recall any TS meal including a salad at Disney other than the buffets.

My favorite place for crab legs, and DiL favorite place for steak!

DH and I enjoyed a great lunch here in May. I had the fish and orzo salad, he had the grilled chicken sandwich, both were excellent. We are dining here with our kids when we return in April. Definitely worth a try!!

I love Captain's Grille. I find that every time we go there, the service is impeccable. The food is awesome, and I don't feel overwhelmed by seafood smell. (I don't eat seafood but dh does.)

We tried Captains Grille several years ago as a walk up dinner on our arrival day when we were staying at the YC. We were pretty tired, cancelled our existing ADR and were pleasantly surprised in the Captains Grille. The service was excellent and the food was very good. I can't remember what everyone ordered other than I had the steak and found it to be excellent. A couple days later I had the mushroom filet at Le Cellier and thought it was nowhere near as good as it was at Captains Grille. I've been there since for dinner and a breakfast and still found it to be very good. The restaurant is not a heavily themed restaurant and is a good place for a quiet meal. For me that can be a good thing; as much as I love Disney I do enjoy a couple of hours in our week where we can just relax and enjoy a quiet dinner without the over the top decor.

We eat there for breakfast most days we're at the parks. The service is great, and so is the food. I have no idea why we haven't been there for dinner - we'll have to try it this year.

We have eaten here three times. Once in 2012, 2013, and most recently in September 2015. The 2012 and 2013 experiences were very good (both food and service). Our visit in 09/2015 was ok - the food was wonderful however the service sucked. I think it was just our waitress though as other waitstaff seemed to be very good. None of the meals came with salads. Most of us had the steak. It was delicious. I can't remember what the other dishes ordered were, but everyone liked their food. We were staying at the Yacht Club so it was very convienient to be at our hotel.

This is a recent favorite of ours, having tried it for the first time 6 months ago. We made a second trip there on that trip and sought it out again during our holiday trip. We will definitely go there again.

We tried it for the first time last summer and the food was excellent. There was a problem in the kitchen and the orders were taking longer than usual, which honestly we didn't even notice, and the waitress came over and said she'd comp dessert for all 5 of us for the long wait. We didn't complain or even mention it she just brought it up. We all had the steak and really enjoyed that and our free desserts. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I'd definitely recommend it.

Have done both lunches and dinners there, always had excellent service and good meals. The breakfast menu is calling my name, guess I need to try that next.

No salads with meals, it's not the Disney way  but I know a couple times at dinner we got a meal where for a set price you could pick an appetizer, entree and dessert from a short list of offerings. Think it was in a box on the menu. Was a great value with DDP after they took away appetizers.
