Captain's Grille, yes or no??

I have heard both bad reviews and really good reviews, I have never been here and would love to know if anyone has been lately and is it worth trying or just avoid completely? Running out of new places to try.

Many times for breakfast, buffet and off the menu. Love it! Love the Yacht Club, it's especially cool over the holidays. The Train display is fantastic.

Is there any restaurant at Disney World for which this isn't true?

In any event, I've been there many times and really enjoy it. Most recent meal was in early 2015 and it was the best meal of that trip (which included dining at several signature restaurants). The décor is kind of dull and there isn't a lot of atmosphere, but it's a fine restaurant.

If you've never been, you should definitely give it a try.

We went there for breakfast once and it was ok, nothing to rave about after waiting over 30 minutes to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant. We went once for dinner and it was the worst meal we ever had in a restaurant. We both had steaks (different menu items though) that were flavorless and ill prepared. But I read lots of rave reviews about their crab cakes.

We've eaten there for breakfast and dinner and usually have good food. We only eat at the Captain's Grill when we stay at the YC or BC. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

We really enjoyed it on our last trip in June. First time there and both my wife and I really liked the food. Decent price point as well. I would recommend it to anyone

YES My DH and I enjoyed lunch there as a couple on our anniversary trip, then brought our kids there on our next family trip for lunch. Service was great, the food was excellent. Will definitely do this again.

We had lunch there last week, it was our first time there and we really enjoyed it. I made an adr on my phone while walking over there and we were seated right away.

This exactly. Breakfast is fine, decent food, service just ok. I wouldn't cross Disney World for it, but it's handy to have if staying at YC or BC.

We love Captain's Grille! We've always had great food and service. I always get the crab cakes and they're spectacular. My husband loves the seafood chowder, mussels, crab legs dinner and the short ribs over risotto.

We have eaten breakfast there a lot over the past 2 visits, and we love it! One of the very best on property. We did eat one dinner there last December ('15), and it was also excellent. I had crab cakes that were absolutely delicious. We don't do DDP (We have TiW), but I was still surprised that this is only 1 credit considering the quality of the food!

If it's convenient, yes. We've only eaten there if we are staying in the EP area. It's typically a quiet, good restaurant. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to eat there, however.
