Captain Jack Sparrow

That was the exact week I was there. I'm wondering if that was the moment I saw him stop because he stopped to pose for some boys and while there were CMs close by, he didn't have a handler. As I saw him, he was coming from PotC towards where Hook and Smee used to meet.

If it is the moment I saw him, that's quite coincidental! He may have had his show (I didn't stick around to see), but the CM that I heard had said that the ones earlier had been rained out, so I assumed the rest had been rained out.

We were at MK on Monday of that week. I'm pretty sure we were at POTC late in the morning -- maybe around 10:30. I can't remember if it was raining at the time...the whole week is kind of a blur...a wet, rainy blur.

sorry the links not working...its an article from a California newspaper saying that Disneyland last year got rid of all their jack Sparrow actors as young girls were showing off their ****ies (can I say that? sorry to the mods if I cant) when they were having their picture taken with him. Apparently it got where it was the thing to do. Disney felt it was not family friendly so decided to scrap the Jack Sparrow walkabout characters. This was in California but Im wondering if Disneyworld did the same thing just in case it happened in Florida.

My dd met him and had pics with him last August (2010) in the Pirate's League. It was a rainy day and he and Mac just came in and started talking to the kids in there. TOTALLY made her day. I was SO bummed that I wasn't with her at the time.

Rumour has it, that it wasn't just the young ones. Some grown up ladies were misbehaving around him, as well.

Not at WDW, but he had a regular greet at Castaway Cay. Had my photo taken with the Flying Dutchman in the background. Sadly, I hear they dismantled the ship and it is gone.

We have photos from the P&P Party from 2008 as well. Our youngest was 8 months old at the time and fell asleep waiting in line. I have great photos of Jack and our oldest son. He reminded me so much of Johnny Dep, it was unreal. His actions are spot on.

Last August, our oldest son was chosen to be in his show. He didn't stick around afterwards, but I did take photos during the show.

DD16 had a photo with Jack during a 2008 PPP. I have the photo in my office. One evening one of the staff came into my office, saw the photo and exclaimed: "When did you get to meet Johnny Depp!?"

I think we saw the same one in May 2009. I was nearly convinced it was *really* Johnny Depp -- especially after we went back to the room that night and one of the POTC movies was on TV. Like you said, his actions were spot on. When we got home from that trip, I pulled up some pics of JD to compare to the Jack Sparrow we saw just to make sure it *wasn't* really him.

The best place to get LOTS of pictures with him is on a disney cruise. He does meet and greets on castaway cay and he does them on on pirate night. We have 3 different pictires with him and our kids. We got him pirates night and both stops at castaway cay (double dip cruise).

we were doing the Pirate's League during a 40 min rain storm in June 2010. I guess his show was canceled cause Jack and Mac both came in. The lady doing one of my boys said that he would stop and talk, but no pics or autographs. Well, we asked him to sign their auto. books, t-shirts, and then he posed for pictures (several pictures). It was great to have both Jack and Mac!! We were told it is a very rare thing for any of this to happen though!

Unfortunately, you heard wrong. This rumor has been circling around - there are no plans for M&G Jack, he is continuing his Pirate Tutorial Show. When it rains, he's off to the League and may play in the Pirates queue.

Your "Jack" was Jesse, best Jack Disney had. Too bad he's gone. I haven't seen one as good since. I know after Project Runway he was working in costuming. Not sure if that's where he still is though.

We met him in 2007 - he was doing meet and greet back then! It was lots of fun and he spent lots of time with the kids!
