I have a dinner reserveration for Cap'n Jacks located in downtown disney during our trip in December. Has anyone eaten there? Any reviews?

I have had dinner at Cap'n Jacks twice and I have LOVED it both times! I had the twin lobster tails and they are so good! The entree is filling. The best part of all is the lobster meal is on the DDP! If you like lobster, make sure to get it! :) I would eat there again for sure.

Ohhh glad I saw this. I wasn't sure if they took dinner reservations or not. My dbf and I want to try it in May we were going to last May but it never worked into our schedule!

1) You will get mixed opinions for Cap'n Jack's.
2) Some think it is a fine dining experience and are disappointed.
3) Others take it as a seaside shanty shack and are quite pleased.
4) Give it a shot.

I haven't eaten there, but I've heard that as of Oct 4 (I think Oct 4) they've taken off the twin tails entree, which sounds like it's the most popular. Just a heads up

They did take them off and replace them with crab cakes. The shrimp and penne pasta is pretty good from there. I have reservations for Nov 14th there and will let you know how the crab cakes are.

DW and I have tried it a few times over the past few years, and we have been continuously disappointed. It is now the only place in WDW at which we never want to eat again. Think--very subpar Red Lobster.

we ate there once and will never go back. I LOVE RED LOBSTER and this is %%#@! compared to it lol.

Agreed! Maybe I should have said "sub-subpar Red Lobster"! The food was bad each time--overcooked, flavorless--and we felt very rushed. Servers were very friendly, though; that was the only saving grace.
