i was getting too confused with who was doing Columbus and who was doing Chicago in the other thread :surfweb:

here we are at week 7 -- half way through the training program.

i pulled a muscle in my lower back last week at ballet, darn! i rested for 4 days and ended up missing my 6 miler. i'm going to fitness center to hopefully TM 5 miles this morning. i may have to take it a bit slower and not really incline to evaluate how my back tolerates the distance. my plan is to do my 7 miler on friday

what's your week look like??? who's cross-training :stir:

Ouch Molli! You are not supposed to do that! I hope that you are feeling better soon!

I was a week ahead of schedule somehow...(thanks Lily...she gets blamed for EVERYTHING ya know :thumbsup2 ) and an very excited to learn my long walk this week will just be 4 miles. Come to think of it, it will also be 4 miles next week too....I got my 7 in last week. Anyway, I plan on doibg some walking, walking and more walking. I haven't really got this cross training thing down. Maybe I ought to think of that! Anyway, to all those who will be in Columbus...I am getting quite excited!!

I can't wait!

So who is next....tell us all about how the training is going! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

:wave2:

I can't wait for Columbus either. I got my 6 mile LW in yesterday because Saturday was just crazy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some nice weather in Columbus when we are there!!

well i made it 5.25 miles on the TM today -- my back wasn't too bad until 4.5 mile and then i just had to finish out the 5 i had planned. the last .25 was a cool-down. i'm staying on my advil or aleve all week and hopefully things will continue to improve. i did decide to forego my usual nautlis-resistance machines for this week and instead do some lighter strength-training with hand weights tomorrow

Molli, sorry about the injury. Take it easy for sure.

Foot doc cleared me to go onward and now I will. It's been a bit rough for me to get in much step-wise, but I have XT with the snow shovel! It is amazing how quickly these old muscles atrophy. I've got some sore quad muscles, but at least I know I was using them and not my back to get that snow moved. I need to start back with my Winsor Pilates too.

Hey Lily.....

YA GOTTA PUT THE STEPS IN :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I just had to say that. Man, I tell ya that feels really good to say that yo you. How many times have you said that to me?

Molli, sounds like you are feeling a bit better...yeah! Keep up the good work!

Pat, I am with you on the crossing of the fingers for nice weather! In fact, I bet that is something we could all agree to!!

OK, last bit of news here from me....and please let me know. I am getting ready to order shirts. I am pretty sure we all said we want long sleeved tshirts. With shipping and the iron on transfers, they will be about $10 each. I will have a friend of mine that has a professional machine take care of the transfers for us and hand out shirts the day before race day. Does that work for you guys? Next question....do we want to have obnoxiously loud shirts....or do we want to be a bit subdude? Let me know some color choices perhaps. You ladies pick! Last question....what do we want on the back of the shirt. Do we want to go with any of the logos in the other thread? Food for thought though...the second one (which I ), might get very hot on the back since the logo is one big square.....the area with teh tranfer on it is not going to be as breathable. Lastly, do you wnat your name on the front of your shirt? Big or little....centered or by your "pocket"? Let me know and I can get these ordered. I would like to order in the next few days so we are sure to have some rocking shirts! I know that not all of us are doing the half....but if you want the race information added to your shirt...let me know. That can be easily done. Thanks!

Hi Liz,

You are giving me way too many choices!! Let's see....I need a large, would prefer short sleeve, but long would be fine. Lime green is my first choice, followed by hot pink :Pinkbounc . No opinion on the other stuff, just let me know the details. We are going to have so much fun!!
