CapeCAD & CapeGirl's VMK Experience **UPDATE - VMK MEET PICTURES ADDED on PAGE 2**

Great pics!! Thank you for sharing--looks like everyone has a great time :goodvibes

Great pictures. But as I was looking at them, there just seemed to be something wrong. It took me a while to figure it out, then I GOT IT!

You are not wearing matching green outfits.

I see you had Steve, that was the same tour guide I had. He was interesting but really made me mad at the beginning and the end of the tour.

Just curious. Why did he make you mad? Should we pray we don't get him on the tour?

Oh we tried...believe me, we tried. But there are absolutely NO green Mickey and/or Minnie t-shirts in all of WDW :rotfl:

We even tried just for matching shirts, but there were none that we both liked. :earboy2:

CapeCAD *did* mention that he wanted us to have the green shirts well in advance of our trip, but I just never got around to getting any

Maybe next time. :rolleyes1 LOL

Steve did a fine job on our tour, but if you get JEFF, then you are truly in for a treat :)

Jeff was our VMK Tour Guide in July, and he also does the "Keys to the Kingdom" and other specialty tours, and he really adds in a lot of extra, fun, wonderful Disney trivia and info, along with the VMK stuff. :)

I started to take the tour on a different day but my Mom wasn't feeling well so we left early and I took it with my daughter on a different day. The difference between the two tour guides could not have been bigger.

When I got to the VMK store Steve was there and when I checked in he gave me a difficult time that I didn't have my tour card with me. I didn't know I had to have it, I knew I needed it to sign up for the tour after that they had my name and I had ID so what was the big deal. So I had that problem. Then I got a lecture about the ear thing. If I didn't use the lanyard I would not be allowed to have the ear piece. This was said in a rude condescending manner. I was not a child and I didn't appreciate being spoken to like I was.

Then the icing was Grace. I didn't give her the ear piece because we were there about 20 minutes early and I didn't want her to play with it. I had it on the stroller in the tray on the top. She is almost 5 and is used to that type of ear piece because she has a Disney radio like it but the less chance she has to play with it the better. He saw it and I got another lecture about my now being allowed to have it if we were not going to use it. I tried to explain that I wasn't going to put it on her until the tour started but he was so rude I just handed it back to him.

Then the final insult was after the tour was over I met two really nice people from the Dis Boards. It was DisneyBrat I believe and her husband. There we were, THREE ADULTS talking about our trips and the Dis Boards and the VMK game. That was when we got a lecture from Steve about VMK being a place where we are not allowed to share personal information and in fact we were in violation of that policy by standing there talking about our VMK names face to face.

This was well after the tour was over. I mean come on! We were adults and I didn't need another lecture from Steve.

I will say he was an interesting tour guide and did a nice job leading the tour but he didn't give out many tour cards and skipped the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

I had Jeff for my tour a couple of weeks ago. Since I was solo, Jeff was my
riding buddy on BTMRR, though. :) He was fine, but I didn't think the tour
was all that great. (Maybe because the four others who were there for the
one little girl were getting the majority of the trivia prize cards! I did get
one Jungle Cruise card, so I was happy.)

It sounds like Steve was just not in his happy place that day. Sorry to hear that Lisa. We had a tour guide in July, a woman, cannot remember her name. She was ok - also a little condescending but in my line of work I have to adapt to all personalities.

The Capes, thanks so much for the pictures. It is so nice to put a face with a name. Glad you had a wonderful time.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Okay, I will admit it! I, too, thought SorcMickey was ancient! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Now I know the truth you sneaky devil!

All of your pictures are wonderful. Your web page photo of the food made me hungry. Thanks so much for sharing.

I had Jeff as well. He was fine. Just don't make any disparaging comments about Michael Eisner at the beginning of the tour. (What, would I do that? Course not!)
