We are staying at Beach Club, but Tusker House just opened for our AK day at 10AM. We've never been to either. Thanks for your opinions!

I would pick Tusker House. We loved the food and the caracters experience was great. You get several items in the buffet that you get no where else and the juice YUMMY!You get to take a picture with Donald before going in and then we saw Mickey, Daisy, Pluto and someone else that I can't remember.

The breakfast at Cape May is one of our favorites - we have made it a tradition to eat here on our check out day every year. The selection of food is good -- standard breakfast stuff -- and the character interaction is AWESOME!! The characters usually come by our table 2 or 3 times during our meal.
We have eaten at the AK character breakfast twice and really don't enjoy it; however, we visit in June so the parks are fairly busy. We have felt rushed during the character interaction both times.

I could of written this post myself:rotfl:. We are exactly the same way, except we always do Cape May on an off day or right before we are headed into Epcot or DHS for the day. We absolutely love Cape May Cafe breakfast and always make a point of it to go everytime we are in Disney. It is such a laid back and relaxed atmosphere that you almost forget that it is a character meal, which BTW the characters are awesome and spend a lot of time at each of the tables. The food there is always hot and fresh and the service is awesome. As for Tusker House, we too have eaten there twice and after this last time we had made our decision to not be doing it again, or at least for a while. I know that there is a big following for that restaurant, but it was just too rushed for our taste.

I think that there should be a law that states that if you're staying at BC and want a character meal that you must eat at CMC. LOL

All kidding aside, one of the things you want to do when staying at a resort is to take advantage of the amenities of that resort. One of the amenities at BC is an on-site character meal. Why wouldn't you eat there if you want a character meal? IMO it's actually a great breakfast for your departure day or for a day where you'll be sleeping in and then moseying on over to Epcot to stroll the World Showcase so I say see if you can get that and then also snag that TH ADR as well.

Tusker House... they have the JUICE!!!!

We go to both every time and I love Cape May too though. They are my top 2 for character breakfasts so you can't go wrong. It's nice to get into AK early though sometimes. We have Cape May 3 mornings in March because we're staying at Beach Club, can't beat convenience.

We have done both and I would recommend both personally. If you are staying at the BC you need to eat there and Tusker House is a must for our family on every trip. Good luck. Both are wonderful.

I prefer Tusker House, but if you are staying at the Beach Club, I think you should give Cape May Cafe a go. :)

Sorry, I can't comment on which one is better but I managed to secure an 8am ressie for TH on our depature day :woohoo: (which is the busy Sunday of the Pres Day w/e). I think that was my sprinkle of pixie dust.

But I did have the same questions and I went after TH as it would allow us into the park one more time.

We love Tusker House...it gets us to a good place in the park so that when we're done eating we hop right onto the Safari! :thumbsup2

I guess I should have added that I have a ressie for CMC on our departure day as well. I must say I am very excited at the prospect of leisurely getting up and ready and just walking to a character meal that is right there. Can't say that multiple character breakfasts are the best use of our dining plan credits though, I may rethink getting the dining plan.

Tusker House is by far my favorite place in the World to eat. But, if you are already staying at the Beach Club, you should try Cape May. We ate at Cape May for Thanksgiving and it was wonderful. Convenient, too, as we didn't want to go any parks on Thanksgiving Day.
