Planning to either do a later breakfast at Cape May on a non-park day or early Trattoria al Forno before heading over to Epcot. Which would you pick given the following:

-Currently, the only Trattoria ADR available is 8AM. Would we still make Epcot rope drop?
-We have an ADR for Garden Grill character buffet (so some of the same characters as Cape May, right?)
-Kiddos will be 5 and 2 at the time (so 2-year-old would be free at Cape May or extra or sharing an entree at Trattoria)
-We're going the end of Dec after Christmas but before New Years. We are considering the Candlelight processional dining package with Trattoria, but aren't sure it's worth doing it with the age of our kiddos.
-Haven't decided yet about whether we'll be on the DDP or not. I'll crunch the numbers once we have reservations lined up and decide after that.

Been to CMC several times and while it is one of our favorite breakfast buffets Bon Voyage is a welcome change. The characters at CMC are actually different than those at GG (CMC has Minnie, Donald & Goofy while GG has Mickey, Pluto, Chip n Dale) so you'd be hitting the whole "classic" gang if you do CMC & GG in the same day. CMC has a nice variety on the buffet and character interaction is fun, but Bon Voyage is quite different than any of the other resort breakfasts.

Bon Voyage has Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel & Flynn Rider. They are all a lot of fun and they are "face" characters so they can be quite entertaining with their conversation alone! It is a sit-down/order from the menu breakfast rather than a buffet and the selections are a little more fancy than the buffets but all of the dishes can be modified as the entrees are made to order. The unique thing about the food is that it is also "themed". I will post a link below with photos and you will see what I mean. I also did a detailed review.

As far as making rope drop at Epcot, (if it's at 9:00) it will be really tough. It's very rare that you will sit at the exact time of your reservation and it will usually take 45-1:00 until the characters rotate (sometimes it is quicker) but that would be cutting it close. I can tell you we sat about 15-20 minutes after our reservation time at Bon Voyage and since it's not a buffet you will not be able to control the time it takes for your food to get to your table.

Your 2 yr old would be free @ CMC but not at Bon Voyage. While Trattoria at dinner will be nice, it is a whole different experience without characters. I think your 5 & 2 yr old will like either but the characters at Bon Voyage do little parades with the kiddos (and it is rather cute!)

Feel free to check out my reviews of both:
