Cape May or Chef Mickey's for Character Breakfast?

We have 4 adults and 3 children ages 1, 1, and 2 and would like to do our first character breakfast with them. We will be staying at Saratoga Springs. We can get time at Chef Mickeys or Cape May. Pros and cons?? Thanks!

It probably won't make a difference for children as young as yours. I haven't been to Cape May, but Chef Mickey's is just a nice setting in the Contemporary. We ate at Chef Mickey's on our first family trip, and DD7 at the time of our second asked why we weren't eating at CM on our second trip. (She was not impressed with Garden Grill!)

So, unless you are staying in the YC/BC/BW S/D area and Cape May is super easy to get to, I would go with Chef Mickey's.

Fare is basically the same at both, usual buffet stuff. Cape May is less crowded and quieter, CM a bit busier. Buffet at Cape May can get a bit congested and CM has the occasional celebration where the Characters lead guests in waving napkins and singing, so a bit more upbeat. We have done and continue to do both each year.

I personally liked the character interaction at Cape May better. It usually isn't as crowded so it seems like the spend a little more time at each table. The food is good at both. My vote is for Cape May but you can't go wrong with either!

We went to Cape May last Oct and Chef Mickey's last week. I was not impressed with the food at Cape May at all and will not be going back. The food at Chef Mickey's was a bit better, imo, but I will only go back if we are staying at BLT again and if someone in my family requests it. The character interaction, in our experience, was better at Chef Mickey's. Oddly, it seemed more organized and efficient. Have fun!
