To Cape May or Not to Cape May...that is the question...Now what's the answer?

I would also do 50's PT.

We just got back from a stay at the Beach Club and the boat ride takes a minimum of 30 minutes. First you wait for the boat and then it sits there and waits for 5-10 minutes. Then it stops at the swan and dolphin before heading over to the Beach Club. The boats also run every 20 minutes, so that can add to your wait if you just missed the boat.

My parents ate at the Captain's Grille for dinner and they were not impressed at all. It was their least favorite meal of the week. We did Cape May for breakfast, not dinner, so I'm not sure on that one. My sister and I ate at 50's PT and loved it. However, she got the meatloaf and didn't really liked it. I took a bite and I agreed - I would avoid that. The server said that they had recently changed the recipe and she liked it less than she previously did. I had the post roast though and thought it was great.

Yay!!! I got lots of responses...just what I wanted:) I guess its unanimous. My only hesitation is that we've been to PTC twice now, and we've never been to Capt. Grille. We went to Cape May once before and weren't impressed, but I thought maybe it would be better this time. My DS and DH love clams. I just figured we didn't really need a third trip to PTC, but I also know how I am, and if we leave the park to eat and I want to come back to do some attractions at DHS, I am going to be having a fit the entire time we are waiting around on boats and other stops, etc....so IM thinking I should just eliminate the stress, even if it means missing out on tryign something new and eating a third time at PTC. So the meatloaf isnt' good?? that good to know, cause I love meatloaf and I prob. would have gotten it. Ive had the pot roast twice and liked it better the first time than the second time. It tends to sit in my stomach for hours. I was thinking Id try the fried chicken this time. Anybody know if that is good?

Been to both in the past, but not sure which one to do again. I was planning on the fried chicken at PT (the pot roast sits in my stomach for hours!!), but Im also thinking Cape May cause DS loves clams. CM gets such mixed reviews, its hard to imagine how the opinions could swing from one end of the pendulum to the other. This is one restaurant where the reviews really are either totally love it, or totally hate it. I know people's opinions differ, but most of the time the majority of people give similar comments, but I noticed this isn't the case with Cape May. Anyway....ten sentences later....just wanted some more opinons before I make my decision. Thanks....pixie dust to all:)

Well, a New Englander by birth, I vote for Cape May. I'm one of the ones who has consistently had nice meals there. We love clams and mussels, shrimp and fish. Although small, the clams are nice, and the mussels are as well.

We like the chicken on the buffet too. It's a meal that can please many people, so we take our vastly different "tastes" family there when we are all together.

I'm absolutely not going to eat at 50's PT, but that is my personal matter. I do NOT like the interaction there, although folks do love it.

So for me, no contest. Cape May all the way!
