I currently have two breakfast reservations for our last day at Disney in September. I have two sons (ages 4 and 2). We will eat at Chef Mickey's for dinner the first night and Tusker House and Crystal Palace for breakfast other days. I wanted something different for the last day. I like the characters and the beach theme at Cape May Cafe, but I am concerned about the traveling time. We are staying at All Star Sports and will be using Disney transportation. I would love to try 1900 Park Fare, but I am worried about the characters being geared towards girls. However, the location is much better since we will be spending the day at MK.
Opinions, please!!!!!

Hmmm...that's such a hard decision. I *LOVE* Cape May Cafe...it's a "must do" for us. It's just so relaxed and the food is good...

I was planning to do 1900 Park Fare with my kids this next trip, but the reviews are so mixed that I just don't feel like wasting my time.

I was recently at 1900 park fare for dinner and it was AWFUL for many reasons. So bad in fact I don't even want to do the breakfast there again. I have never had a bad experience at Cape May

I have only been to dinner at 1900 Park Faire and we didn't care for it at all. But breakfast can be a completely different experience.

Have you considered breakfast at Ohana? That would be near MK and they have a tropical theme. We've done that twice and really enjoyed it.

We had dinner at 1900 Park Fare on our last visit. Food was ok. Atmosphere was fun though. The Stepsisters really got into their roles. It was entertaining.

Cape May Breakfast is one of our favorites and a must do, but since you will be at MK that day anyway, I would then suggest doing 1900 Park Fare, even though we will be doing this breakfast for the first time in September (it will also be our last MK day before we get on ME to go home). I have heard mixed reviews about 1900 Park Fare as far as the food goes, but for the characters the Mad Hatter is there, so your DS should be good with him. Another character meal that is very close to the MK is Ohana's at the Poly (it is called Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch). They have Stitch, Lilo, Mickey, and Pluto in their Hawaiian outfits. We did this in December and thought the food was good (not as good as Cape May though) but the character interaction was amazing. Good luck deciding.

Although I have never eaten at Cape May I would try it for sure. I had a HORRIBLE experience at Park Fare once and will not go back. Honestly IF I had to rent a taxi to eat outside the park or eat at Park Fare I would be calling a taxi. It was that bad. :headache::headache::headache::headache:

Just returned and had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare.
LOVED IT!!!!

The characters that were there were: Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Pooh and Tigger.
I think it was a good mix and my son LOVED it! ( DD loved it too)

The food was by far superior than other breakfasts and the sticky buns were AMAZING! YUM.

Have not had dinner at 1900, but the breakfast was wonderful. Good food and great interaction with the characters mentioned above ^^^. DD5 blurted out to Mary Poppins, "HEY, you're the lady from that movie!" Ms. Poppins was awesome :rotfl2:

Going back in almost a year and hope to eat at both Cape May and 1900. The best breakfast on our trip in Feb was at the Liberty Tree Tavern. I wish they would have that as a permanent option instead of temp while the CP got refurbed.

I would vote for 1900.

We did Cape May once - food was very good but it was just very laid back - not as exciting character-wise if that makes any sense. It wasn't lively.

1900 the characters for breakfast (and dinner) were great. Breakfast food was good but nothing to write home about. Characters were amazing - they all cracked us up it was so much fun!

We've never tried Ohana's so I can't comment on it.

Love Cape May breakfast. Always great character interaction and I thought the food was good there as well.

I don't know if it makes any difference to you, but 1900 Park Fare was LOUD. I mean, loud to the point that we will never go back. Haven't tried Cape May yet but we do have an ADR there for our upcoming trip.

Save the GF for dinner. We all liked the dinner. The stepsisters and Lady Tremaine are hysterical. They make the trip worth it.
