Cape May Cafe Dinner and Fantasmic Timing?

Hi all!

My family and I have never taken the boat from DHS to Beach Club Resort, so I'm not too sure of the timing. We currently have an ADR for Cape May Cafe at 6:40 PM on June 25 (so super busy, maybe 8 or 9 crowd level).

What time should we head for Cape May? Should we allot maybe 30 minutes of travel time? I know we could just walk, but I know my little brothers will definitely want to take the boat.

Also, if we have a 6:40 PM ADR, do you think we can make it to the 9PM Fantasmic showing? Do you think there will be enough seats left when we get back (potentially around 8PM-8:15PM)? Or should we wait for the next showing of Fantasmic to get good seats?

Thanks in advance! :)

I would be walking out of DHS about 5:45 or so - definitely no later than 5:55.

You might make it to the 9:00 Fantasmic, but I wouldn't count on it. You probably won't leave the restaurant until after 8:00, so you may not even get to the park before 8:40ish.

Honestly we'll probably finish eating in about 50 minutes. We're pretty fast eaters.

I also just rebooked it for 6:35PM because I saw it was open. XD

Five minutes doesn't make that much of a difference, but I booked it anyways.

But yeah we'll probably finish by 7:30PM.

Does the boat take 40 minutes?? Maybe we will walk...

I agree.
You are really pushing it to get to fantasmic.
Why not change your ADR for cape may to 6:00 or so. I took a quick look and there are plenty of earlier times on the 25th.

I was going by the app and it was giving me only 6:35PM as the earliest time... but I just looked for specific 6PM time and it gave me earlier options! Thanks!!! :)

The boat ride from the Yacht and Beach Club dock to DHS (once boarded) will take about 20 minutes.
That route goes:
Epcot > Bdwk > Yacht/Beach > Swan/Dolphin > DHS
The walk from Beach Club to DHS will take longer than that.

But, if you have just missed a boat and must wait for the next one, you can walk the distance.

Thanks so much for the map!! Do they have a schedule or should we allot 40 minutes of travel time just in case we miss it?

The boat takes 20 minutes, but you'll probably have to wait. And there are the walks between the restaurant and the dock and the dock and the park gates, which will add about another 10 minutes.

The boats pick up guests on either direction's run (on average) approx. every 15-20 minutes.
