from what park can you go to Cape May Cafe restraunt? Is it HS or Epcot? I made ressies for Epcot day thinking I could take a boat...Now I saw a post saying it was from Epcot you could take it to Cape may Cafe. Did I get it wrong????

It's both!! The Friendship boats go to both parks, BW, BC, Swan/Dolphin.

Enjoy your dinner!!

You can walk to Cape May from Epcot way faster than a boat. Takes about 5 to 7 mins tops and that isn't humping it either. Just go out the International Gateway and walk along the path. Beach Club is on your right, Cape May enter thru the main entrance and it's on the left.

Cape May is inside Beach Club Resort. It's about 10 - 15 minutes walking time from EPCOT's International Gateway exit to reach Beach Club Resort. If you're coming from Hollywood Studios, definitely take the boat, with the big variable being the waiting time for the boat. The actual time in the boat is about 10 - 15 minutes. The boat would stop at the Swan and Dolphin first. When you get off at the Lighthouse dock, it takes about 5 - 10 minutes to walk from the dock to Beach Club Resort. Hope that helps!

If I was traveling from another resort, I would definitely go to DHS and then either walk (15-20 minutes) or take the boat from DHS to the YC/BC dock (20 min boat ride). We usually walk to/from BC to DHS, as long as it's not unbearably hot, because we can walk it faster than waiting for the next boat/boat ride.

The walk from the front of Epcot, through Future World and out the World Showcase exit to BC has got to be 2 miles. If you are doing dinner at Cape May on your Epcot day, you will probably already be in World Showcase. But if you are doing the breakfast and planning on taking the bus, entering Epcot and then heading to BC directly, it's a long walk.

Questions about the Friendship boat. We are going to be in Epcot on Sunday with our ADR at Cape May Cafe for 5:30 dinner. There are 10 of us in our party, 4 adults and 6 kids. Would it be better to take the boat over? How long would it take from start to finish. I'm trying to determine transportation times and stuff. We've never been to any of the Beach Resorts before.

Thanks!

Here is my breakdown:

Boat from Epcot IG to BC - 6 minutes to BW, then 4 minutes to YC/BC marina, then 2 minutes to walk from marina to Cape May.(Does not include wait times or load/unload times).
Walk from Epcot IG to BC - 5-8 minutes walk, not at a fast pace.
Walk from DHS to BC - 16-22 minutes (walking speeds vary)
Boat from DHS to BC - 8 minutes travel time from DHS to S/D, then 4 minutes to YC/BC marina, then 2 minute walk to Cape May.(Does not include wait times or load/unload times).

If it were me, I would walk from Epcot to BC, leaving Epcot just after 5 for a 5:30 ADR.

I agree with Robert P. Although the boat ride is not very long, the wait for the boat could be up to 20 minutes. The walk is short and it's a beautiful walk along the lake, past the beach, etc.

The absolute shortest route from a park to the Beach Club is to walk from the International Gateway at Epcot. However, since the bus and monorail get to the *front* of Epcot, to go straight to the Beach club you'd have to walk all the way across Epcot to get there. So for Cape May *breakfast*, I'd take the bus to the Studios and either walk or take the boat (there was one there already when we arrived at the Studios when we did it, so we did take the boat).

But for Cape May *dinner*, I'd agree with doing it on an Epcot day and walking.

The boat makes me motion sick. If I'm at Epcot, I always walk if I'm going to Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk or Dolphin. I'd probably walk to Swan, too, although that would be the farthest point from Epcot.

If you're at Epcot and you take the boat to the Yacht Club/Beach Club stop, I think you would have to backtrack to get to Cape May Cafe. (But I won't bet my life on it, since I avoid the boat.) If you add up the time spent getting on the boat, taking the ride, getting off the boat, and walking from the boat dock to the restaurant: I think it might be faster to walk.
