OOOppps I mis read your post---I've never been for breakfast ... Sorry

Cape May breakfast is one of our favorite character meals and is a must do each time we go to Disney. The food and character interaction is just awesome. The characters really interact with the kids (and adults), and the service is outstanding. This character meal is more laid back and not noisy or crazy like some of the others on property, therefore you sometimes forget that there are characters in the restaurant, that is until Goofy, Minnie, or Donald comes walking up to you to give you a big hug :goodvibes. We have been there where the characters came around to our table twice and we got the same interaction with them like we did the first time they came around....Enjoy!

we've been to Cape May twice for breakfast and its one of the kids favorites - its a relaxed environment (compared to just about all the other character meals we have been to - granted breakfast may be more relaxed than dinner to being with).
Food was good; nothing out of the ordinary but enough variety and quality to satisfy everyone; service has always been good.
I recommend it - I know we'll be going back there again in August. :thumbsup2

Here are some pictures of our plates from our August trip:

I thought the food was good and the character interaction was phenomenal! I'm still dreaming about those chocolate croissants... :lovestruc

This is one of the best character bfasts in Disney. The food is your typical bfast fare, but the character interaction is really great. They all come around to your table in a timely manner. We just love it there.

thank you!!

How did you go about getting there? I have read its a nightmare... I was thinking bus to DHS and boat over to epcot... not sure though. I have never been to the international gateway or anywhere near the Beach Club..

The buffet offers lox and bagels which I enjoy. :thumbsup2 The character interaction is great, for adults and children.

thank you!!

Where are you staying and what time will you eat? Obviously, the most direct route is to take a cab to the Beach Club. This will be the fastest and easiest, but it will cost you some extra money. With an early ADR, we prefer this method so we don't have to plan a bunch of extra time for buses and boats.

If your ADR is at a time when the busses are running consistently (i.e. not super early), you could take a bus to DHS and then either boat/walk to Beach Club. You won't have to go as far as the international gateway. If you do this method, then you won't have to use a park ticket.

Another option is to plan for a later breakfast. You could go to either DHS or Epcot and start your touring - collect FP, etc. then leave the park for your breakfast. From Epcot you can walk quite quickly and from DHS again, you can walk or boat.

Enjoy - we really like this breakfast!!

thanks!

Our ADR is for 7:50am. Maybe I will see if I can grab a later one...

We ate at Cape May in December and it was great. It was a bit quieter and the characters were great. Our server and Donald apparently had a love-hate thing going on.

I'm so glad to read these reviews. Last week, ds asked if we're going Chef Mickey :confused3 ... hadn't planned anything. He really wants to see Minnie, so I lucked into a breakfast ressie here.

We're staying off-site (Windsor Hills). Anyone have any driving tips?

We went last year for the first time. The food was very good, the sausages were so yummy. The character interaction was OK, but in general I'm not crazy about character interaction at meals. The characters seemed a little rushed to me but when we were getting ready to leave Goofy came past again and spent alot of time with my youngest DD. We'd definitely go back again.

There's a review in my 2010 Trip Report (link in my siggie) - I think it is around post 190

The food was good, it was quiet, but the characters didn't pay much attention to us (only 2 young adults - no kids with us). They posed for a picture and then moved on. I would still recommend it, though!

We do the "Clambake" twice each trip but for some reason we've never done the breakfast so we're definitely doing it next trip. We have an ADR for June 7th and I can't wait!! :thumbsup2

The cape may breakfast is my daughter's favorite....we have done it the last two years we have been to Disney. The last trip in Sept 2010 we went to both the breakfast and the clambake(this for the first time). We are returning this Sept and DD-12 could not decide between the two meals. Out of 4 trips and many resturants in Disney...this is her favorite for both meals!! Have a great vacation and enjoy!:thumbsup2
