First week of March.
7:30 Cape May Bfast ADR
If we eat and catch the boat or bus to DHS, chances that we'll make it to rope drop by 8:45?

I'm assuming no way, but thought I'd see if anyone here has done it.

Last year, we ate at Hollywood and Vine @8 before DHS opened @9. So, while we know what the crazy rope drop rush is like, we haven't experienced it starting from outside the park yet.

Would really like to do Cape May, but this is a short WDW trip and our only day to do DHS. I should probably drop the ressie to ensure we get to ropedrop for early TSM fastpasses and to get the kids signed up for Jedi training.

TIA.

We did it last June but were VERY lucky since we were seated at the first table the characters come to. We were in & out within 35 minutes and then walked VERY fast to DHS to get in for the early opening for SWW. (If my blonde memory is correct, we arrived at DHS around 8:25 am, 25 minutes after the park opened.)

I also paid the check as soon as we sat down, letting the server know what we were trying to accomplish. She was fantastic and still got DS a birthday cupcake out in time for our visit from Minnie, which was a wonderful surprise!

Also, there is not a bus from the BC to DHS so you either need to walk or hop on the boat. Good luck!

I'd say it is pretty unlikely. Arriving AT 9 AM - maybe. Arriving before 9 AM and seeing all the characters at Cape May, much less so. (And I've seen some reports that they were letting people in at DHS at 8:30 - also some other reports of 8:45.) I would try and change breakfast to 7.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to drop it. Not worth the stress. Plus something to save for our next trip. :)

So funny, I was just wondering the same thing. We'll be going to DHS on Easter sunday, and really wanted to have a nice breakfast before the park.

Since you know it will be crazy, I will make a suggestion:

Send one adult with the kids to sign up for Jedi Training. If I am right, they have to sign up at Sounds Dangerous, then go over to the stage. The other adult should head over to TSM and get the passes. You will still make it over in time for the first show if that's the one they get. If not, you guys can ride Star Tours and start from there.

Don't think you'd be able to make rope drop. Even the walk itself is pretty far and forget the boat - that's even slower. And I don't know about you, but I'd have total indigestion just trying :rotfl:
