Hi fellow Diser's my name is Ty. It's been quite a long time since
I have written a pre-trip report. I was co-hosting on my sister Bo's pre-trip report, but she let hers die....twice! So to quote my favorite crustacean, "Sometimes if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. So welcome to my pre-trip report, I might not even tell Bo that I have started a new one, that way I can post embarrassing pictures of her, hehehee.

So like I said, my name is Ty, I have 6 trips under my belt, of course it was the first trip that got me hooked. I am a Certified Medical Assistant and work in a Family practice office in Spring Grove Pa. I love my job almost as much as I love Disney. Usually the patients bring up Disney with me.

PT: So you like Disney huh?
Me: How can you tell?
PT: Your watch is Minnie mouse, so are your bracelets and earings.
Me: Don't forget my wedding band...(showing them)
PT: your scrubs are Mickey....are your socks Mickey too?
Me:yup!

and if they are lucky enough to catch me on a day that I have shaved my legs, they I will show them this

The date on the clipboard is my graduation date.

I love when a PT has been to WDW and then we can discuss our trips, I hate to admit it but I have put the Dr. behind schedule a few times by discussing Disney with a Pt. But in my defense the Dr. has put himself behind schedule as well by discussing Disney.....with me.

This trip has taken a long time to actually happen. I had been after Bo for years to take a trip with me, she finally gave in and a we started planning a trip for Dec 2011, somehow my mom ended joining us as well as a friend of mine (just to keep the numbers even) but we still longed for our "sisters" trip. And now here we are 199 days away from what is going to be the trip of all trips, we are going big!

My sister Bo, the bestest sister a girl could ever ask for, she's also my best friend. Bo did not start out as a Disney addict, well really none of us do, something happens to cause the addiction. But most people at least want to visit Disney World once in their life just to say they did. Bo really didn't want to go, in her mind it was an expensive amusement park, she also said before her first trip that she would probably never go again, but all it took was one look at the castle and the rest is history. This will be her second trip, she's a busy lady, a physical therapist assistant in a skilled nursing assisted living home. She lives in Michigan so we don't get to see much of each other and a big trip like this takes lots of years to plan. We started our count down at over 600 hundred days to go.

It's time for the meat and potatoes, all the juicy details of our trip. Bo and I leave on the 15th of September, a Tuesday, our return day is September 27th. We will be in Disney World for 13 glorious days. My longest vacation there yet. We are booked at the Art of Animation in the Little Mermaid room. We only have 10 day MYW w/ park hoppers, I was stunned to find out that you can only get 10 day passes at a time when doing a package, oh well, we will have 3 down days. Our first down day will be our arrival day, we plan to go to DTD and do the hot air balloon ride, we were supposed to do it on our last trip but our Dear mother took to long in the bathroom and when she came out the wind had picked up too much and they shut the operation down, the real kicker is we waited for mom thinking she wanted to go up in the balloon, had we known she didn't want to we could have been up and down before mom was even out of the pooper.

Our second down day will be sometime mid stay, we plan to go to MNSSHP we won[t use a park ticket that day cause we can use our party ticket to get in as early as 4 and just spend the early day at the resort lounging by the pool and preparing our costumes for the party, (can't tell you about those, you'll have to read the trip report when we get back)

Our last down day will be our last day at WDW, we aren't sure what we will do that day before heading to the airport....:sad:

We get to make our ADR's on March 19th, I've already let my boss know that I will be coming into work a little bit late that day. The Dr. I work for went to WDW last month and he knows the importance of being prompt when it comes to trying to get into BOG.

We did not purchase the dining plan, and if Disney comes out with free dining we wouldn't qualify for it anyway as The Little Mermaid rooms are exempt from any promo's. Bo and I tried weighing the pro's and cons we quickly realized that there were far more cons than there were pros, so we tossed that method out the window, we just really want to stay in the Little Mermaid room, even if we have to starve while we are there. Honestly I need to lose weight anyway, I've put on a lot of weight while I was in school, and now it's next to impossible to lose weight when we have drug reps bringing us lunch and snacks and Starbucks etc...etc... not to mention the patients are always bringing in baked goods, I need a stronger will power. But I have gotten off topic, so back to BOG. I have eaten here, I took a trip with my mom Dec 2013 right after my graduation, we weren't able to get ADR's for the character dinner, but mom and I got in line at 9:30am and waited for them to open for lunch, no characters for that meal but it was still a fun experience. Bo and I want the character meal though. We also want to eat at the Garden Grill. Those are our big OOP meals.

A couple months after our Dec 2011 WDW trip, Bo and I met at our family cabin in Belwood, Pa. It was 4 great days of scrapbooking our WDW trip

, that was when we started talking about our sisters only trip. (We washed off our graffiti)

I was just a week away from starting school so we knew it was going to be at least 2 years. I don't think a day has passed that we haven't talked about Disney. With each passing day we get more and more excited. WE Skype on the weekends and do our Disney planning as well as scrapbooking, I'm pretty far behind on my albums.
WE have purchased the memory maker and have a long list of pictures we need/want to take, we plan to have another scrapbook weekend in the mountains again, we like going in the winter so we have yet another thing to look forward to, it helps knowing that when we leave Disney at the end of the trip in September that we will see each other again the following February to once again scrapbook and relive our trip.

Hey Ty! Saw you has a PTR so I popped over to follow along. Gonna catch up! :cool1:

Just a couple of our Skype scrappin pictures, I'd say our sessions last about 4-5 hours, sometimes we are quiet and steadily working other times we are talking a mile a minute about Disney. Only 197 days to go. I will be back Wednesday with an update.

Happy to be keeping each other company!:goodvibes

This trip was supposed to happen in 2013, so with all the postponing I feel like we've been waiting forever! Glad we're almost at our ADR day cause that is the marker for the home stretch. :thumbsup2

I love that you and Bo scrap book over Skype. Sisterly binding is important, no matter how far the distance!

Can't wait to see how everything in your plans works out!

OMGoodness Ty!!! how sweet of you to throw your ol' sis under the bus, but agreed, ...I did let 2 pre trip reports die, (can't believe you let me try again after that first one...whose bright idea was that???)anyway, you're the MA with all those life saving skills...why didn't you resuscitate it??? it's good we both learned our lesson, no more pre trip reports will suffer at my hands. No pressure, but you are doing the pre trip report for this most amazing Sisters Trip that all other trips will be compared to.(just sayin). Do us proud sister.
Since I know about this pre trip report I think it's safe to assume that any and all pictures of me will be preapproved by me. agreed?

Haha, I've always felt that once the ADR's were made the time would speed up, you're right, it's the home stretch. I will be making my ADR's 2 weeks from tomorrow.
I look forward to my Skype time with my sister, I still wish we lived closer to each other though, but I will take what I can get.

Bo, your PTR had flat lined, nothing was bringing it back, you've heard the saying "It's a defibrillator not an undeathifier!"

I need this PTR to keep me same until our trip, our daily phone calls while driving to work QAM is no longer sufficing my Disney needs, I need 24 hour stimulation now.

Can't make any promises when it comes to pictures, sorry Bo, you gave up that control when your PTR took it's last breath.

I'd like to introduce some people who will not be on this trip, I would like you to have a face to go with the names of the loved ones I am going to trash for not liking Disney
[GALLERY=][/GALLERY]
first off my son James and his girlfriend Keona, I love these two, I love them as my children, I love them as a couple, but I can not condone their anti-Disney attitude, I ask them to please please go on a trip with me but they refuse, Keona even went as far as saying "Universal Studios is better" I let her stay in the family because she is good to my son, but I told her we do not speak of the dark place in this house, you save that filth for your own place.
[GALLERY=][/GALLERY]
Then there is this guy, Kent, the husband, I leave him at home because Disney already has a Grumpy. He lets me go to Disney (like he could stop me:snooty:) whenever my Disney heart desires, but he does not like Disney, I wish I knew that before I married him:sad2:.
[GALLERY=][/GALLERY]

Next is my daughter Marrisa, she will not be trashed, even though she will not be going on this trip she has recently converted to liking WDW and really wants to go, she has started purchasing the Disney gift cards on line, saving for a trip so she can take this little man
[GALLERY=][/GALLERY]
My grandson Leom, he is 13 months old and thanks to him liking Mickey Mouse she wants to take him to the Mouses house. That's a PTR for future years. She's thinking his 5th birthday.
So that is my family, I love them all so much and you will probably see mention of them often, so until my next update, which should be soon cause it's looking like I will be getting a snow day tomorrow, I leave you with this.........

You have such a beautiful family! Even if a few of them don't understand the love for the happiest place on earth.

And that baby smolder is just too much!!:lovestruc

Thank you, I'm hoping it's not too late to convert them, I keep thinking all I need is to get them to WDW, I need just one shot and I know I can make Disney lovers out of them.
At least I can mold Leom into a hardcore Disney lover.

That is a grey hair on my head, I need to get to Disney World where I can stop the ageing process.

Skyped with BO today, we went over our itinerary...again...here is what we have so far, keep in mind this could change depending on BOG, we will gladly rearrange our entire schedule to make sure we get to eat at BOG.

Sept 15, arrival day, this will be our first down day, since we only have a 10 day MYW/PH we had to schedule 3 parkless days, naturally our first day would be one, we need to maximize our park time. This will be the day we head to DTD for the balloon ride, weather permitting. If it's a nice day we will head back to the resort after the balloon ride and explore AoA, if it's raining we will probably explore the shops at DTD.

Sept 16 our first REAL day and of course we want to begin at MK, rope drop cause that's the only way to start your day, we plan to open and close the park, we are also hoping to get BOG this day, the character one for dinner, if we are not able to get the character meal that day we will still to BOG but as a counter service instead, we plan to explore the new Fantasyland that day, we haven't an actual touring plan yet, that will come closer to our trip.

Sept 17 Animal Kingdom, again we will open and close the park, the plan is to head straight to the Safari and then the jungle trek and rafiki's planet watch, we want to get that sort of stuff out of the way before the heat of the day, we will do the shows during the hottest part of the day. Expedition Everest will be one of the last rides of the day, it leaves Bo and I queasy so this is a strategic move for us.

cccccccccccccr bvvc c c c c c c c c bh<--- Leom says hi.

Sept 18, a Friday also our first Epcot day, open to close again, according to the calendar it's an EMH night so we might go back to the resort for a rest before tackling the night and shutting the place down, we also want to eat at Garden Grill that night. Our plan is to cut the world showcase into 2 days, in the past we have tried to do it all in one day just to find ourselves burning out halfway through the countries, so we will split it into 2 days, also we will go counter clockwise, I always start off in Mexico, I just want to do it differently this time. Bo and I did the passport last time, it was tons of fun and we want to do that again as well.

Sept 19, Saturday Hollywood studios, a half day park if you ask me, I get bored very easily with this park, that is why we plan to park hop to MK later in the day, we're still not sure if we want to head to the resort for a mid day nap or not, MK has EMH that night, we want to close the park down....again!

Sept 20 Epcot again, we won't need to make rope drop, World showcase doesn't open until 11:00am and this day will be dedicated to that, we will probably do more things around future world later that evening.

Sept 21, Monday, Animal Kingdom. Not sure if we will do rope drop, most likely we will, this park in my opinion is the hottest park, I think all the foliage holds the heat in so I like to get there and get my favorites done before the heat zaps me of all energy, HS has evening EMH and we do plan to park hop, that night we will take in Fantasmic, we can close the park down if we choose, I myself do not see this happening, what I would like to do weather allowing is go back to the resort and have a good night time swim, we'll see how things go.

Sept 22, this is our second down day, we can sleep in if we want to, when I say sleep in I mean till like 8:00am, this is a resort day for us, we want to hang by the pool that 's why it doesn't matter much what we do the night before, either way is win win. This is also the day we want to do MNSSHP, being a hard ticket event, we can still go to MK without using an actual park ticket, we just have to wait until 4:00pm to do so, it will be nice to have time to get our costumes together without feeling rushed. I can't wait, Bo came up with a great idea for costumes.

Sept 23, is another MK day, rope drop? I'm not sure, we will be out pretty late the night before. We might park hop, we might go to DTD, who knows, time is on our side.

Sept 24, Epcot, no hardcore plans, we did put DTD on the schedule, but if we do that the day before we might park hop to somewhere else, or just head back to the resort to explore or swim.

Sept 25, Animal Kingdom and then park hop to Epcot, it's EMH at Epcot that night.

Sept 26, Magic Kingdom ALL DAY, no resting this day, open to close, we want to see the goodnight kiss.

Sept 27, our last day, can't even go to a park since we will be out of tickets, so we will use the time to make any last minute purchases or explore the resort some more, or start organizing our memory maker pictures.

So that is our itinerary could change but not by much.

Once our plans are solidified I will make a new calendar planner, and use ink and all kinds of color coding, It's the Disney thing to do.
