Can't wait for Halloween! My wife and I are longstanding fans of the Halloween party, and for the first time we'll be there two nights in a Disney hotel (moreover the NWY which is the first hotel we'd been together) :cheer2:

I saw on Twitter that the Halloween party is sold out… also, we've been able to move our ADR for Oct 31 past the blackout hour (until a few days ago they would not allow ADRs past 1815 at Plaza Gardens), our friends have secured their trip to DLP as well…

Everything seems to be ready to enjoy the party! Are other DISboarders going to DLP? What are your plans? Do you have tips to share?

:super-excited:

Hi we go on Monday, myself, husband and son. We haven't been DLP for nine years, so really looking forward to being there. We don't fly in til early evening so no party for us, we are staying at Disney Cheyenne Hotel (again).
We have two buffet meals booked for Tuesday and one on Wednesday. Will play the rest by ear ! I am looking forward to the parades, fireworks, potc,Peter pan, and Xmas ornament purchasing !! We are staying until Friday tea time ish !

We got in time for the Salon Mickey!

It's incredible how many people are queuing outside the park turnstiles today.

To make our trip even more magical, we managed to upsell to Empire State Club with Lake View. We're so excited!

Live from the Fantasia Gardens!
Have a wonderful time everyone!

For those going to the Halloween party tomorrow, we have confirmation by City Hall that wristbands can be retrieved starting at 8am (for guests with valid admission, of course, those having only party tickets will need to wait 5pm to enter).

DLP has posted signs warning about huge traffic to be expected tonight. This is a nice touch, we've stayed in the Radisson Blu hotel on previous years which didn't say anything about it and we've been stuck in traffic jam clueless for 45 minutes.

The parks were crazy busy yesterday. I am hoping today is a little quieter. What a fab atmosphere though.

Theming was definitively less impressive this year: no pumpkin carving on Central Plaza, no more smoke under the bridge to Frontierland, no decoration whatsoever in Plaza Gardens.

On the other hand, the new parade was pretty good, some artists performing besides Disney characters reminded me of the (now gone) Terrorrific Nights. I particularly liked the orchestra at the end of the parade, that participated to the spooky atmosphere.
On the plus sides, the new location for the DJ set was a big hit: I liked the previous location at Discoveryland but I do like the new location in front of the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue more: it just fits the theme so well.

Overall, while I do regret the times where the Halloween party hosted three separate shows in addition to the parade and Disney Dreams (the Pirates Academy with Minnie, Dingo at the Castle Stage, and the Dr Facilier on its boat in Frontierland), I did enjoy the party. (Disclaimer: I have Dreams AP discount, which makes the ticket rather inexpensive and worth its money even with the cuts.) I hope the drastic reductions in the number of shows is a consequence of the many parts of the park in rehab this year, and that the regular program will come back for next year!

Glad you enjoyed it. I always wanted to be there for the party but because I used to work in a school the dates never worked for us. However even though I've now changed jobs and can be there on the 31st I'm leaning towards choosing the earlier part of October for hopefully nicer weather and lower crowds. Do you think I'm mad? ;)

One is never too mad to plan a trip to Disneyland Paris :)
You might want to schedule TWO trips: one at the beginning of October, and another at the end, just in time for the Halloween Party! :p

Oh I wish I could! *sigh* But I'll happily settle for just the one - and having looked at hotel prices it's definitely going to be early October, I'd be paying a third more to go at the end.

Last time we were at DLP was 2012 so I am so excited to be going again! :rainbow:
