Can't remember Disneyland in November. What's it like?

We've been to Disneyland in November before, but boy, it's been so long that I can't remember what it's like.....what are the crowds like? (I don't need to know about Thanksgiving time. We'd never go during Thanksgiving, and obviously I already know the answer to that. But I want to know about early and mid November crowds.) Also, when do the holiday festivities usually begin (holiday parade, fireworks, castle lighting, etc)? When does IASW usually open after getting it's holiday overlay?

Thanks for any insight you can give me.

go around the 21st or so thats when the holiday stuff is up. we like to go just after thanksgiving last few days of nov an begging of dec. I dont think id go early nov. just to me the holiday stuff is so much better lol

IASWH should open on Friday, Nov 6. (If this year is done like previous years -- the overlay would be installed from Oct 19 to Nov 5. The official dates should be announced in early August '09.)

The Christmas parade and holiday fireworks should start on Friday, Nov 20, which is the Friday before Thanksgiving.

We have often gone around nov 11 for my birthday and they do have a lot of the decorations up by then but not all of them.

I read an article the other week (perhaps in one of my parenting magazines ) and it said the week before Thanksgiving and the week after Thanksgiving are two of the best times to go.

Also, I've heard that Veteran's Day weekend is very busy. A lot of locals have a three day weekend. Other than that, it's a great time to go.
