We are getting to the hotel about 3pm and haven't decided exactly what we want to do. I currently have ADRs at WCC at 6:30. I was hoping to get to FW and do the campfire/movie, but I think dinner will take too long and we'll miss it. (I've tried to move the ADR, but they're all booked.)

My DH is thinking we should just go on to MK. In that case we wouldn't eat at WCC. The upside to this idea is that spectro is that night.

Part of me thinks we should check in, DH take the kids to the pool while I unpack. Then we can all explore WL together and do the Hidden Mickey Hunt. Dinner at WCC. Then back to the room for bath and bed.

Or we could do DTD--eat there, shop there, play there.

What do you all think? It's getting so close and I'm feeling overwhelmed with all the choices! :faint: I'd love your input before I go completely nutso.

Thanks!

You didn't mention what type of passes you have for the parks. Do you have a limited # of days? That would determine whether to go into a park your first night or not.

We personally feel we have "arrived" when we get into the parks. We see Illuminations our first night.

We have 6-day PHs and will be there 10/9-15. Friday we aren't planning on doing anything at the parks b/c the kids will do the pirate cruise in the morning then we'll head over to BB. We have lots of pluses left over from previous trips.

I guess we could go to DisneyQuest too. Although I'm not crazy about arcades, my kids would be in HEAVEN.

Since you'd have the days on your tickets- I'd go for a park. That is if the hours are late enough. Since you said it's a Spectro night is the park open until at least 8 or 9pm? If it's still only 7pm- then I wouldn't bother. If you get to your hotel around 3pm and unpack. Then headed right to MK- you'd probably get there around 4-5pm. So, how long you have would sway my decision.

We don't ever do parks on our arrival days. We're usually too tired from getting up at 4am to fly. We usually do Chef Mickey's for dinner (get to see the characters) then a little bit of shopping at DTD. I know on our next trip we're going to try a night arrival. This way we can leave for the airport right after school and work. So that tradition will be out the door.

HAVE A GREAT TRIP!

When arriving mid or late afternoon DH and I check-in and unpack. (well, I usually unpack and DH rests) Then we head to DTD to wander around and window shop (I like to see what they have before I buy). Then we head to the Boardwalk to eat and wander around. I like to save the MK for the morning of our first full day.
