Been a while since I posted, but I am back.

DO THEY SELL PINS ON THE CRUISES ??????????

Shirl and I are doing the 7 day Eastern Cruise on the Magic, leaving April 6th.

I believe she has already lined up some Castmembers for Pin Trading, that will be on the same Cruise. Both of us will find time to snorkle on the Islands. I plan at least one scuba dive and hope to hook up with a sporty Barracuda (if caught; released).

When we get off the Cruise we sign into a Diz resort. Again, more Pin Trading for Shirl(meeting 6 CM's at AK) and Bass fishing for me.

I think ours kids love us. They are PICKING UP THE WHOLE TAB on this trip. We were conned. At first they said 1/2 of the cost.

WHY ????? Celebrating our 35th Anniversary. Me thinks that we did something right, raisin our youngins.

John,
Good to hear from you again.
Have fun on the cruise, and don't even try to tell us your not going to be right there trading with Shirley. I saw you at past meets.
I hope you plan on wearing a less elaborate hat for fishing, I know how those fish love shiny objects. Peggie

Start writing the FAQ on how to raise kids that will fund our anniversary trip.

Yes they pin trade. Take lots of "kiddie traders" I had a blast trading with little people. Crew does trade too. If you take the hat I'm sure they'll find you.

I did find a birthday pin on a cast lanyard last trip.

Any chance you'll still be in WDW April 24th?

Kinda thought you Gals and Guys, woulda forgot about me.

Didn't take Peggy and Denise too long to check in.

Since I returned to the Board today-----A VERY SPECIAL HELLO TO ALL OF MY FRIENDS.

I'm not going to put names out there. I don't want to forget anybody.

PS: Denise ; sorry, we will be out before the 24th

Hi John! Good to "see" you on the board. Happy 35th Anniversary to you & Shirley!! Hope you have a wonderful time on the cruise.

John... You and Shirley have a great trip.

Don't know if you guys know this but it will be 3 months since John has stopped smoking. So I think he needs even a bigger boat to hide on.

I hope the HAT stills fits.

If any of you gals/guys are going on the 4/6 Cruise, send me an e-mail.

Shirl has her list of CM's (also Pin Bags) going on the Cruise.

Anbody from the Collectors Board going ??????

If we catch up to each other, Shirl & I will buy you a soda. Or even a Marganolia (?????). She had a few of them with the 3 FAIRIES last Halloween.

John & Shirley

We will be there and there is a Dis Meet scheduled for Sunday I think at 1:30. Check out the cruise board for details.

See you there.

I cruised a couple years ago, so my experience may not be yours...

Yes, there were racks and racks of pins in the "souvenir-type" store. I bought at least 15 different types of pins there alone. Then there were framed pin sets and pewter/bronze pins sold in the "upscale" store. So you will be able to empty your wallet buying pins onboard.

As for pin trading, there was a pin meet on the mezzanine above the ship's lobby area each night around 7:30pm. Each night, 1-2 cast members would set up a small table where they would display a batch of the unique-to-that-ship pewter pin (for the Wonder, it was an Ariel pin). You could not buy this pin -- you had to trade for it. The cast members would accept any Disney pin in a 1-for-1 swap. Each night's allotment usually went pretty fast. On my cruise, there were not very many cast members wearing lanyards (but this was 2 years ago, before Disney kicked the pin frenzy into high gear), nor were there many cruisers/pin collectors. I met a couple nice traders, and we just set up our own trading table by pulling several chairs together on the mezzanine. It was a nice way to spend an hour before dashing off to the next shipboard activity.
