the other day my Mom asked me what I wanted to do for my sweet 16 birthday party! I said I dont know Ill think about it! so I thought "sweet 16" .... "Disneyland" So here we are walking up to disneyland on the only day we were going since we got a day pass we were there at 8:00 am right when the doors open actually we were the first ones in line! For some reason only one other person was in line..... So its 9:30 and park doors still havent and a man came out and said that they werent open today! But they gave us a free tour of the new carsland coming out this summer, and a bunch of the rides were it says employees only!!!! so FUN

maybe today but It was a couple of weeks ago when this happened just thought I would post it on here now seemed like a cool story to me!

Disneyland has not been closed a single day in since the 50th anniversary (May 4th, 2005) and even then it was open just not the general public.

I'm a little confused? Like the previous poster said, Disneyland is rarely closed. It pretty much NEVER happens. At the very beginning of March the opening was delayed a bit because of a bomb scare, but in such a case they certainly wouldn't have been touring you around the park solo.

thats exactly what they said because of the bomb thing but, I told them it was my sweet sixteen and they let me!

First you don't remember when your own birthday is and now you're telling us Disneyland employees let you into the park while they thought there was a bomb on the premises and the bomb squad was running around trying to figure out what it was?

We weren't born yesterday you know... :rolleyes2

Except they did open and did let people on the rides after they cleared the area. In fact there were already guests inside the park and rides were operating at the time, people just weren't allowed near the entrance.

not the day of but the day after is what your talking about!

1. You said this happened two weeks ago when in fact it was two months ago. Most people don't have that huge of a memory discrepancy regarding their own birthday.

2. The park had the bomb scare around 8 am, some people were already in the parks but once they found the object they closed off the area around the entrance and let no more people in.

3. It wasn't until around 11 am that they gave the all clear and reopened the parks officially, to everyone. 1.5 hours after you apparently got your private tour of Cars Land and several "employees only" rides.

1. When did a couple weeks ago turn into 2 weeks ago.
2. the day after the actual bomb scare there was another smaller bomb scare that lasted 1.5 hours or what ever you said. the day of they let no one in the park!

Wanna know how many of us know for sure your are not, shall we say, being accurate?

Go read this trip report, starting on post 1587, the person who posted this is a DIS veteran, well respected, and well, he was there the weekend, the actual day, the bomb scare happened, and documentend what went on. Sorry you were NOT the first person inline, he was. And they let people in, prior to shutting the gates. So, if you were there right at 8:00 am you have been let in.

Sell it somewhere else.

So not only do you like to think you are places you are not, but you also have a reading comprehension problem.

Starting at post 1587 it is about the bomb scare, and no matter what you post that will not change.

A DIS veteran was there, you were not.
