I know one has a red nose and the other black, but which is which? Dsons are watching the beach party video and wanted to know! I said I knew just who would have the answer! :thumbsup2

I always remember it by Dales nose is more red and dale and red both have D's in them. I know very lame but it works for me.

Yup Chip's nose is like a chocolate chip...While Dale has a reddish brown nose. ...also Dale has two teeth that are spread apart and Chip only has one tooth..lol

Ditto!!! That's I tell them apart too and this is how I will teach my kids to tell them apart!

We were told by a character CM that Dale got his name for the space between his teeth. Dale means valley, or hollow, or empty space. :)
But mostly I remember Chip's chocolate chip nose. :goodvibes

What an interesting post! I always wondered the same thing. It is an easy way to remember too...chocolate CHIP for CHIP and tan for Dale. Thanks for posting this!!!! :thumbsup2

We were told by a CM that Chip even got his name from the "chocolate CHIP" nose.

The noses, and I always look at thier teeth, but if you are behind them both look at thier tails. They are different.

I always remembered it from the teeth 1 - 2, Chip - Dale

When my husband (Chip) first got his current job in a small college music department, there was only one other full time professor -- his name is Dale. They still get quite a lot of snickers.

This is how I remember it...Chip's nose is like a chocolate "chip"...Dale's nose is red b/c Dale DRINKS!!! :lmao: (everyone is saying his nose is tan...I always thought it was red...and started attributing that to too much acorn schnapps!) Is that wrong on principle? :rotfl:

A cast member at Chef Mickey's once told us that Chip is was named because of the Chip in his tooth.

Not that you haven't got it figured out yet but I always remember that dale is the goofy one (no pun intended) so has the more overstated features. I don't know how you translate that to children-ese but I guess I would just say that Dale is the funny one so he looks funny. Anyway it's always kept me straight.
...t.

The way I always remember the 2 apart is that Dale has a gap in his teeth and Chip doesn't. It's easier to remember than the difference in nose colors.
