Do you think with a three year old we could have breakfast at the Concourse Steak house and keep him busy pointing out the monorail and promise to go wave at Mickey next door afterward?

I can't remember - I know Concourse is before Chef Mickey's but could we scoot him into the Concourse without him seeing the characters. I guess we could always get up at the crack of dawn and see if they'll take us as a walkup. (It's happened before when they were booked).

::MickeyMo Try the 'Ohana Character Breakfast at the Polynesian:
'Ohana Character Breakfast - every morning in the Polynesian. Characters include Mickey, Chip and Dale. The meal is served family-style and features eggs, waffles, meats, breads, fruit and more. Breakfast $17.99-A/$9.99-C. ::MickeyMo

Thanks Danny :) I'm leaning towards that also, but we're having dinner there the same night so I was trying to get a different setting for breakfast (but I love the Polynesian so it would just be a good excuse to go there again).

I'd also recommend the Cape May Cafe character breakfast, but it would be hard to get to the Beach Club with a 3YO and no car...

We have a car that wouldn't be a problem. Guess I'd better hurry and start calling to make a PS somewhere.

I second Cape May. It was hands down the best breakfast buffet we've been to at Disney. The characters are extremely attentive here as well.

I believe Mickey does not appear at cape may, only Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale, Is eating with the Big Cheese ::MickeyMo your concern?

Not neccessarily, as my son loves Goofy also. I guess I'm trying to plan our day. After going over our finances I don't think we have the money to get park tickets for the day so I was going to do a character breakfast somewhere, go tour some of the resorts we've stayed at before and those we haven't stayed at yet but might want to in the future, get lunch somewhere (maybe Rainforest Cafe) and stroll around Downtown Disney and then dinner at 'Ohana at 5:00.

Has anyone done the character breakfast at the Garden Grove Cafe at the Swan? I know it says only Goofy and Pluto but he loves both of them and the (very few) pictures I've seen of the place it looks very pretty. Plus it would be an excuse to look around the Swan and Dolphin which we've never been to.

I still like the Cape May breakfast better, plus you could then walk over and tour the Swan/Dolphin when you're done! And if you're there long enough you could even eat lunch at Beaches & Cream, or somewherer else in the Swan/Dolphin/Yacht/Beach/BW area!

A cheaper option might be to try the Character Breakfast at the Grosvenor Hotel in DTD area. They have goofy and pluto dressed up like Sherlock Holmes. Since you are trying to keep it inexpensive, this might be an option.

I also LOVE the Cape May Cafe breakfast. We go there for the food, and the characters are just a bonus!

Thanks Bob and everyone. And thank you Maggie, I never even considered there was anything over at the DD resorts, I'll have to check into that. Do you know if they take PS's or reservations?
