Can't get any dinner at HS?

I called today at my 90+10 mark and tried for Mama Melrose first, Si Fi next and Hollywood and Vine for dinner any time after 4:00 and nothing was avail. Does that seem to make sense.

What date were you choosing? Just one? Perhaps the park is closing early for a party or event that day?

What are your dates, and how many in your party?
So far I've been able to pulled up MM (using the online system, party of 4) for 11/29 @ 5:40 and 12/2 @ 6:40.

I would call again. When I phoned yesterday there was availability and it was only 90+6. Today, when I asked for a time that wasn't available, the cast member didn't give me any alternatives and said there was nothing available that day. I asked her to check again and she found something but wouldn't book it for me because I have a split stay. Some cast members will go out of their way for you, some definitely won't. Keep trying. It took me 5 hours and several phone calls (from the UK) to finally get someone to book my ADRs. I still have 5 more ADRs to make so I know I'm going to have to go through this again tomorrow and the next day and the next.....
Anyway, there are some really wonderful cast members out there,but sometimes it takes a while to find one. And if HS really is fully booked, could you try playing around with dates or times? Maybe book a late lunch instead?

I am trying for Dec. 7th. That is the only day we are going to HS and it seems weird that I was able to get Chef Mickeys for the date and time I needed and not Mama Melrose. I was told that everything was booked at all three for dinner and I only could get lunch. This is for 5 people

It is possible that they know there is a private party that night and those restaurants will not be open for dinner. I have been at WDW a number of times when DHS closed early for a party. One year our room at POP looked right at it and we watched an awesome fireworks and lazer show Last year while I was at DHS they were busy all day building stages, blocking off streets, caterers setting up .... while we were still there. It made negotiating the park difficult and we just left probably an hour or so before we planned.

Pop Warner is there at that time, possibly they are having a party that night.

That is exactly what happened for us on our trip for 9/25. It is a fantasmic day, which I assume is a big part of the problem.

I have been checking every single day, and the latest I can get any meal at DHS for a party of 7 has been at Brown Derby at around 3:00. When I first called, the best I could get at DHS was Hollywood and Vine at 1:30.

I did manage to get a 50's Prime Time for around 2:00, which works for a late lunch for us (that is the day we arrive), but nothing since. That one showed up one day about 80 days out.

My theory has been that Fantasmic days are very tough to get dinners at DHS. I'd be curious to know if your date falls on a Fantasmic night as well.

According to the hours no Fantasmic that night. Maybe a private party-- Just seems so strange that everything is booked. I could have gotten 50's prime time, but I am not liking the menu.

Maybe it has something to do with Pop Warner being there. Don't they have something special at HS?

I have a 4:20 at Sci-fi on 12/7 for party of five... so it can't be closed. I just made it this morning at 730 online.
