Can't get an early Tusker House. What is another option?

I had the same trouble as others with making a reservation for Tusker house on November 16th and now that is seems to be working there is nothing available for our party size until 10am(where I was told we would be seated separately). If we had one less person we could get an 8am but since that won't happen its not an option! We aren't interested in lunch since that will be our departure day and we don't want to feel rushed. I did snag a 8:15 for chef mickey's but now I am wondering if there is a better option for a character breakfast. We obviously won't make it to the opening at Animal Kingdom(where we are spending our last day) but will we be that far behind and have long wait times? This will be our family's first trip so I am trying to plan it perfectly! Any advice would be great!

Chef Mickey's is fun, but being your LAST day and you want to spend it at the AK, I think you will find there to be more travel than you like having an early CM reservation and then going over to AK. However, I would not give up the CM reservation until you pin down your preference for Tusker House.

My experience has been it's harder to get CM ADR than TH ADR and hopefully something will work out for you Nov. is quite a ways off so it's possible you may be able to get the earlier ADR time at TH between now & then. Just keep checking on line for the time slot you want.

ANother option, while I know it's no fun to have your group split up, if by doing so you can get a prepark opening ADR I think I'd give that some careful consideration. Lastly, if you take the 10am spot, assuming the park is opening at 9am, as long as you make RD, you should have enough time to go straight to Expedition Everest, ride it, then head over to the safari and check the wait time and possibly ride it before your 10am bfast. If not enough time for Safari, check the fastpass return time and perhaps the time will be available for after your bfast. the safari is quite close to the restaurant.

Then after bfast you'll have 2 of the headliners finished &/or finished before noon. You should have time to take in either the FOTLK or Nemo show or an attraction or 2 before leaving. Good luck and have a wonderful trip

Thanks so much I was able to get an 8:30 at Tusker house this morning and that sounds better to me then the 8:15 at CM! Do you know if we get their early will we have a chance of being seated early? Thanks so much!

Wonderful It is recommended to arrive about 15 minutes before an ADR and doing so I think greatly improves your chance to get seated at least by the time of your ADR This has generally worked pretty good for us but we are usually a party of 3.

While there is no guarantee that they will seat you early if you show up even earlier, it's probably a matter of how quickly they are seating the diners with ADR's before you and getting your group's picture taken with Donald Duck (unconfimed as we have not done bfast at TH but I thought I read somewhere they do that).

Just a little suggestion, but if the park is opening at 9am, you may want to have one person in your group "slip" out at 9am and go over to the safari to grab FP's for your group since it's close by. By the time you're finished with bfast your FP time should be ready to use. If you don't have time or want to do this, don't worry, the lines won't be built up too much until about 11am on most of the attractions as the guest sleeping in arrive.
