We have just decided last minute to book a trip to disney in may. There is a room only discount. We usually stay at pop century but may upgrade this time. If you had a choice between Port orleans FQ or Wilderness lodge which would you pick? it is a difference of 700.00 dollars??? Also if anyone has stayed at either how is the bus system to parks? I have a 5 and a 9 year old???Any advice would be appreciated. Need to book this weekend!:confused3

Wilderness Lodge! It's totally worth it. Good QS options, and Whispering Canyon is very kid friendly as well. Also, the boat ride to the MK is a nice change of pace. Buses to the other parks were fine, we only shared with FW, but rarely were the buses ever packed. Have a great time!

Wilderness Lodge is worth it to me. POFQ is cute too. The buses for both were fine. I love the boat ride to MK from WL and the boat ride to DTD from POFQ.

You may want to have another option in mind though. POFQ is small and they may be booked up with the room only code for May already.

We've never stayed at POFQ, but the WL is one of our favorites :). For us, the extra cost would be worth it for the upgrade. We love taking the boat back and forth to MK as well as to the CR where we can hop on the monorail and visit the Poly and GF. Also, Roaring Forks is one of our favorite resort CS places. We have stayed at the WL twice and each stay was great as far as transportation as we never waited long for buses or the boat. With a 5 & 9 year old I would guess you'll be spending alot of time at MK, in which case the boat would come in handy and I think the kids would enjoy it. Good luck deciding, but I'm sure you'll have a great trip no matter which resort you choose :wizard:.

You don't say how many days you are staying so its hard for us to judge if $700 is "worth it".

We love Wilderness Lodge. Its truly spectacular from the moment you arrive. Having said that, POFQ is a pretty resort as well and you won't be disappointed if you take this option. POFQ does have an advantage if you are planning on eating at your resort much since they have a food court with more selections that you will find at Roaring Fork at WL.

Transportation wise, both are equally poor. Neither is better than what you are familiar with at Pop so don't make a decision on that basis.

We have stayed at both and really enjoy both. WL is probably our all time fav resort, however, we have not been back since our first visit because we always decide that our $700 is better spent elsewhere. Really, only you can determine if the $700 is worth it or not. WL is a beautiful resort. You would have both bus and boat svc to MK, which is awesome. I personally was not a fan of the quick service dining at WL. It was small and always packed and the food just was not good.

Thanks for the replies. We are staying for 8 nights 9 days for this trip. I think we may splurge and try the wilderness lodge!!!!
