Cant decide

So we are booked right now for September 16-25 for our first stay but now I am thinking about maybe doing a week then and then maybe the first week in December. I cant decide I would love to go down and see the Christmas decorations but I dont know if it is all worth it giving up the crowds or the 10 days. Any Help would be great!!! Thanks

We usually go in Jan when there are very low crowds and love being able to almost walk on rides or in sit down restaurants, but we did go the second week in Dec in 2008 and found it to be worth it. It was crowded but we did not go on many rides instead we took in all the special Christmas advents and toured the resorts and looked at the decorations. We still go at our favorite time in Jan but am glad that we saw Disney World at Christmas. It was wonderful.

Wow , that is a tough one. I'm really not much on crowds and the Christmas crowds are the worst, but I do like to go see Disney at Christmas every couple years. We went this past Dec, so I'm set for a couple more years,,sooo I'd opt for the less crowds right now.

Yikes, that is tough, a 10 day stay sure sounds good to me though. But so do Christmas decorations. We froze Dec -Jan 2010 -2011 i guess in that case Sept.

We went in Dec of 07 and Oct o9 and had record heat both times. In the mid 90s every day. We like Christmas time much better. Crowds may be a little heavier but 1st week of dec will be empty compaired to the third week of dec. The best part is that on either trip you will BE AT DISNEY WORLD. PS. If you go in dec you wont have to hide the gifts as long once your home.

I would do the first 2 weeks in December. We have been there during that time and the crowds weren't too bad. I actually think they were worse the last 2 weeks in August when we went in 2010. The closer you get to Christmas the more crowded it gets. As fun as Christmas week is, I wouldn't recommend it for your first visit. Picking the first 2 weeks in December is perfect. The really popular rides, like soarin had a 2 to 3 hour wait. However, those rides always have that long of a wait most of the time anyway. Visiting during the Christmas season is unexplainable. It's just magical. Once you experience it you will know what I mean. The Osborne Family Lights are worth the visit by themselves. Also, the countries in Epcot have their Santa and other Christmas traditions. Hope this helps.

What about the second week in November? The Christmas decorations are up, MVMCP starts, and yet the crowds are really low.

I wish we could go in November but the problem is both my husband and I work for a food store and I work in the bakery and he is a relief manager for grocery so asking for anytime off before a holiday is really difficult thats why i thought maybe the first week in December because its not so bad. I just found out today that they cut my hours so we may not be able to go at all. so I will just have to wait and see, I think we may just stick to September and maybe try a different time we will see...

That is cutting it close for the Christmas decorations in the parks. You may only get a couple days of lights on the castle. We are coming down in Nov. this year but are staying @ PORS. Dont want to chance pulling the trailer down in an early winter storm.We will be in on the 12th. and leave on the 19th. Plan on multiple trips to the Fort to catch my sanity.

Ok Im just a little worried about the crowds and like I said I cant really go to close to the holiday because of work, I dont know what to do lol.... We really would love to see the Christmas decorations and I was just thinking that we could surprise my son his birthday is on the 1 Nov but I cant go then because of his dad and then My DH is on the 5th

I think the11/3-12 would be great! Low crowds, plus you would see the Christmas decorations going up. The parks look so pretty before and after.

I will have to sit down with DH and see what he says I really love going in September but I am not sure if going in November to see the decorations would be good or not.. and how much they would have up then oooo So hard lol

We've been the first week of December and didn't find the crowds bad at all. The last time we went in December, we went to the first MVMCP of the season and it was great!

Okay well everywhere I keep looking everyone says that not much is up by November 1st. I would think that for the Christmas party's they would have mostly everything up. This is so hard lol I really cant decide

I would definitely do the first 2 weeks in December. It is beautiful and the crowds aren't bad. Like I said, we have done that time of year twice and would not hesitate to go again. We actually have reservations for the same time this year. I hope the boards have been a help.
