So we had to cancel our September plans..:sad1: so I am diligently trying to figure out when we should go. We have to wait until after the new year. I am looking at January, February or March. I don't know what to do. Each one has it's pros and cons. What do you think? When is the best time to go?

I am a huge fan of mid-to-late January. Our family has been to WDW a number of times during January, and I think it is a great time to go crowdwise. The MLK weekend can bring in a few more people, but crowds tend to dip the Tue or Wed after the Monday holiday. I know that weather can be a mixed bag in January, but we have had great luck with the weather when we have travelled during this period.

I think the beginning of Feb is a good time to go too, but I would avoid Mid-Feb through March unless you don't mind competing with the Spring Break crowds.

I was there late March of this year-right before the spring break hoopla. In fact the last day we were there we could see the increase in attendance. The weather was great and the crowds managable; however, I would argue that ANY month is a good month @ WDW:goodvibes

I vote for mid January! Crowds are low and weather is usually really nice....sometimes cold evenings (bring on the Mickey sweat shirts:goodvibes ). Spring break starts around the second week in March for some states like Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona etc...so crowds start forming during the week.

I think I've finally settled on January 27th - February 2nd.
It will give us the opportunity to celebrate DS's 4th B'day (that's the 26th). Can't wait for the rates to come out...and to do find out if they are doing a P&PP...I am hoping so...DS would love it!

Those are the dates we went this year. We had a great time. Even though it was really cold one morning, it didn't feel bitter cold and we were able to shed our jackets by late morning.

I brought our winter coats, hats, gloves, etc and used them! It was 32 one morning. Brought our bathing suits too .... by the end of the week, it was up to 80 :)

How old is your child and how long is your stay? I would toss my vote over to January as well, unless you have a small child. The parks close pretty early in January and you might be tempted to push through a kiddie meltdown in an effort to see everything. So you might want to consider going later in the year when the hours are longer.....

DS will be 4 if we do go during that week in January. We just went this past November and we had a great time. We were only there 3 days and he had no meltdowns. I made sure we only saw attractions that were suggested for Preschoolers. That really isn't too much. I intend to do the same thing I did last time since it worked out so well.

The preliminary plan would be for one day at MK with a break mid day, another day at MK where we only go morning. 1 day at Epcot where we go in the morning for Future World. A 2nd day at Epcot where we go for the World Showcase opening, 1 day at MGM and 1 day at AK. That's 6 park days. I plan on having a day mid-week where we relax.

DH is a thrill ride person...so he can do a lot of that while DS and I catch the milder rides...as I am not a ride person at all!

Do you think that will work?
