Hi,

I am Lorna. A wife, mommy, and chef instructor who has just realized when the "baby" is 3 years old - You can't call the extra pounds baby weight.:rotfl:

My journey started a few months ago when I got really ill and started having some health issues that were made FAR worse by the extra pounds I was carrying. I started small - more water, less sodas and to my surprise I lost 10pounds.

Then I fell off the wagon. :headache: I didn't gain any weight BUT I did not loose any weight either. It was time to get SERIOUS.

I started counting calories on January 1st. Wow what a difference I started to see. I was loosing weight and I felt better. This is amazing. Then I added exercise. I love the feeling of sore muscles.

So that gets us all caught up until today.

Food journal for yesterday.
Breakfast:
Special K Cinnamon Pecan with 1/2 cup milk 270
Lunch:
Orowheat sandwich round with 5 slices deli turkey and a dr pepper 320
Dinner:
3 ounces pork meatballs 252
2 ounces pasta 150
1/2 cup sauce 80
1.5 tsp. parmesan cheese 20

water 8 servings

exercise: walked 1/2 mile.

I am totally tired and ready for a break. Tonight is date night so I have to be really careful about my choices while we are out. I hope we can do this.

Sounds like you're doing very well already...all the right things. This is a great place for support and accountability. :goodvibes
