Can't book a room for April?

Before the news of closures came out yesterday I tried to add a night onto our stay in April but it wouldn't go through. I was using an offer code that wasn't working so I thought that was the issue. However, I'm trying to book that night now using the Sun and Fun offer but that also won't go through. The website is telling me to call, but I don't want to with the reports of hours-long hold times.

Is Disney not allowing any new hotel bookings for April now? Or is this just a problem on my end?

Also...I know there is a real possibility the parks will still be closed during my trip. But in case they're not, I want to have a hotel to stay in my first night.

I was able to switch my resort booking this morning from BC to WL, with no issue. Did it online through my phone for our April trip. Not sure if it was because I was keeping the same dates and just changing resorts though...

Yes there are a lot open, but when I try to book it won't go through.
I have noticed if I try and make adjustments on my laptop it will tell me I have to call but if I use my phone or tablet I don’t have any issues and can do it online. Maybe try a different device?

I actually just booked a new April reservation this morning (for during Easter break). I booked it online on my PC using AP discount.

Hmm good to know. Maybe it's something on my end then?

Maybe. I will say the first time I tried to book my trip, it did tell me the room was no longer available once I got to the deposit page. Then I changed my dates and it went through. So it could be the particular room/date you want has been taken and just hasn't vanished from the offer page yet.

Has anyone experienced any issues with online resort booking for end of March just before parks are supposed to open? I was not finding any availability for any resorts from March 29 on until April 1. eery.

Yep, this is the error it gives me. View attachment 480649

Totally FWIW, but last week (before all of this) I booked a room only reservation, got to the end and had the same error. But my credit card was charged for the deposit, I received a confirmation e-mail, and it shows in MDE - so it's a real reservation - it just never gave me that final "You're going to Disney World" splash page and I got that error instead. It was weird.

Thanks for the heads up. I just checked, but no email or charge for me. :confused3

From what I read, they are not allowing new reservations during the park closure period. I wouldn't be surprised if they close some resorts and upgrade/move people to consolidate.

I was supposed to come during the closure and I used the site this morning to schedule a new trip in May, so mine was working. Shrugs :)

Update for anyone who cares 🤪

After trying different offers and different hotels and getting the error every time, I finally just tried booking without logging into my account and that worked! No idea what the issue was but happy I was finally able to book.
