can't believe what my DMom said to me!

I'm in the 'facebook is not for mothers' club and here's another good reason why. My friends and I go to lunch, talk on the phone, occassionally text when communication needed is short and sweet but we DO NOT have facebook pages and it's intentional. We think it's pretty immature and asking for trouble as grown women. Mothers should not visit their children's sites unless their children are minors and known to get in trouble online.

OP know that you aren't alone with having a mom like this. My mother wasn't happy unless she was fighting with someone. .

Im glad that Im not the only one with a crazy mother like this.. my whole life she has always been in a fight with someone, and when she is angry at someone, everyone around her must hate/ignore that person too (hence why she is trying to turn everyone against me in my previous post) even as a child, she always pitted me and my siblings against each other- she said this about you- she did this- etc. very strange:confused3 I could go on and on about the craziness, but Im scared she is somehow stalking me and can see this, LOL (i know she stalks my facebook from my brothers name, but I feel bad deleting him so I just post carefully)
these past months we havent spoken have been stress and drama free-- its actually kinda nice

OP you are not alone. My Mother has issues. Too much to go into here and I don't want to hijack this thread.

Just remember that you don't own her attitude or behavior.

Well it may not be totally this below, however you mother has a need to make things "about her".

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, the diagnostic classification system used in the United States, as "a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, and a lack of empathy."[1]
The narcissist is described as being excessively preoccupied with issues of personal adequacy, power, and prestige.[2] Narcissistic personality disorder is closely linked to self-centeredness

NPD is exactly the first thing that came to my mind as well. MIL is such a person. At 51, my DH had enough, and they don't talk anymore. It's sad, but life is MUCH easier this way.

i originally had one before she ever got one. i had mentioned ONCE that i played farmville on facebook and the next thing i know, she's friending me on facebook. and i can't say "no" because she'll just freak out on me about it.
