This whole thing reminds me about the commercial a couple of years ago where the guy is smiling showing us his big house, the cars, the boats, the expensive lawnmower, etc., and then he says "I am in debt up to my eyeballs...Someone please help me"

That was a funny commercial!!!!

I am saying screw it to the cruise, I own a condo in Orlando so free accomidation, I need to know how much I need for my plane tickets disney tickets, car rental, spending money for 7 days. That is a good idea to go to priceline, I didn't know you could get car rentals on there I thought it was just hotels.:woohoo:

OMG I thnk I am toatally confused. I thought the stay was a timeshare codo rental presentation thingy you felt you got for a great price with a cruise portion attached to it. I think I am all messed up now. If you are not doing that at all and own a condo outright rent that for a few weeks especially around the holidays and your money problems are solved. Even at that bargain basement rate of $1000 per week at the holidays with US Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's you will be all set.
As far as the price of groceries, if you own a Condo in Fl you must have purchased them before, so plan on a 20% increase in the price for inflation. Only you know what you and your family eat, so my figures would be very different from yours. Plane tickets, disney tickets, car rental can all be researched on line to find the best prices and spending $$ varies. I have two kids (14,18 now) and we give them $50 each for 2 weeks--spend it and when it is gone it is gone; we go 3 times per year sometimes so I don't need a bunch of junk cluttering my house. You mentioned that your kids are smaller, don't let them get anything and pre buy a few shirts or stuffed crap online at bargain prices then leave them on their beds and act like they are "tinkerbelle" surpises.

if someone is asking for help why do some people feel the need to attack them?? very strange. I read some of these posts and got very sad.

Good luck with your trip planning and hope you can save the money you need. Vacations are very important in my family so I totally understand.:)

If it is legit, I am trying to help, and I am confused and need clarification.

Wow, sorry people are attacking you instead of answering your legitimate question. I am really surprised.

Anyway, I would cancel your satellite radio and your extra cable channels and explain to your family that if they want this trip to happen that they will have to make sacrifices. My husband and I make a lot of sacrifices to take Disney trips, and you can make it happen. You have obviously put some thought and effort into this (shoveling snow, etc) and maybe missed some things along the way, but at this point none of that matters. Anyway, just give up things. You can do it! You may think its not going to work, but it is all about priorities.

I hope that you are able to take your trip and that it is really enjoyable.

If you read the whole thread, you'd most likely be forced to agree: HE (or she) IS NOT BELIEVABLE. S/he owns a house in a neighborhood where houses cost $800,000 and up, his wife (?) refuses to have a yard sale, the kids refuse to sell old toys, he owns boats and water-skis, oh, yes, and a hot tub...and basically wants us to do all his work for him. He saves money by buying ramen noodles in bulk, as far as I can tell. He doesn't want his family to do without any of their luxury toys, because it makes it look like he's a failure. :confused3

OP, if you want to use Priceline, I suggest you learn. I could tell you how to do it, but I had to learn it by myself.

I just found this post by nelson84:

Has anybody jumped the fence by space moutain? It looks like an easy and cheap way to get in?

What other stategies to use? Use the tunnel system, or better yet wrap yourselfs in plastic and use goggles and walk in through the sewer.:confused3

Nice. He advocates sneaking into the parks. :sad2:

Anyone else find it strange that Nelson84 started out on the DIS in 2006 as a woman, talking about her husband and scrapbooking, and then sometime along the way, became the husband?

Seriously, if anyone is wringing their hands over Nelsons "mistreatment" on this thread, just read this over and over until it sinks in.

I am simply getting as much entertainment out of this thread as nelson has ;)

there has been some fantastic suggestions though! I wasn't kidding about the hair sale on Ebay either....I pinky-promise, mine is cut and ready to list! :thumbsup2

Really, all joking aside..It is so sad really that someone needs attention like this.. I think they have a medical name for people like this that crave attention..

Perhaps Nelson you could earn some money by selling some of your swampland. I suspect that you may find a few takers. :)

Yep, I bet some prime waterfront property would sell pretty quick, especially if there's a bridge involved....

Your signature MIGHT be one of the funniest things I've read on these boards.... KUDOS for that!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

It made me laugh! I printed it off and put a copy on each of my co-worker's desks. Yikes! Did I kill a kitten?

To be fair..and not sure if I should...but some families use on account, so maybe he and his wife share the one account. But I have a feeling it may not be the case. :confused3
