A590IS and S5IS and S3IS..
So, how does the A590 compare to the other two?
I realize how they look different, but they both have manual setting options, and at about $180 for the A590 vs. $350 for the S5IS...well, I think it's a big difference so I just have to know what you guys think. If the S5IS is that much better, I'll have to keep saving. No way at this point that I can afford an SLR yet...
I am now just willing to settle for improved pics of the Spectro parade, as in going from "fair" & "bad" shots with my old Coolpix to "not bad" & "pretty good" with either of the Canon "higher end" point & shoot cameras. I will practice with the settings and probably take a tripod on our "spectro only night" in May (Also, I need to learn exposure and how to use manual settings and so forth first, planning to read the Understanding Exposure book I've read about here and at amazon).
As always, if you have a suggestion that is not canon, that would be great too. For some reason, in all my research, I keep coming back to Canon, but I've liked a few Fuji & Panasonic cameras too.
whew!
thanks!
