As most of you know the Northeast got pounded with snow yesterday. We got about a foot. It has remained snowing all day today and we're supposed to get another 6-8 inches tomorrow. Fun-fun. But I just went outside to take some pictures of the kids out in the snow. BBBRRRRRRR. I guess I'm not young anymore. Couldn't handle more than 10 minutes out there. I don't mind the snow, really I don't. But I'm not very fond of the VERY COLD. LOL

I just walked my dog in the woods (I wore snowshoes) and it was 16 degrees! Brrrrrr. He's a lab, so this is his favorite....he sticks his whole face and head into the snow...maybe we should have named him Snowplow! It's not so bad if you keep moving. There were all kinds of animal tracks. Well, at least we'll have a white Christmas! We still have lots of communities near me that don't have power yet.

I guess I shouldn't mention that I am sitting here with the windows open wearing capri's and a short sleeved T... ;) It has been unseasonably warm here in Charlotte for the past few days- highs in the 70's.

Sorry to hear you are in the snow, though- cold weather can be so awful! I can actually get exhausted and depressed when it is too yucky out for too long.

Don't know exactly how much we got yesterday, but it was supposed to stop at midnight and when I woke up at 7:30 this morning it was still snowing at a pretty good clip - and did for most of the day..

We have another storm due to start at 4 a.m. and last until 10 p.m. tomorrow night.. 5" to 10" - depending on location - and high winds, causing white-out conditions.. I think this is the last "big" storm before Christmas, but the last forecast that I saw showed snow every single day right on through until Friday..

No worries about a "brown" Christmas this year!!

two words: SPRING 3 MONTHS

okay, two words and a number

I know I couldn't live in weather like that! It gets down to 40 degrees here and we all moan at the cold (& that is very cold for us!) Of course, no one knows how to dress around here for the cold. Most people don't own gloves. I saw people in stores with flip-flops on!

(& then, y'all get that humidity in the summer! YUK!)

We left NYC yesterday morning at 6 and drove straight through to Florida. We just missed the snow. Our friends called us on the way down and told us we left at the right time. Woke up in Kissimmee this morning to beautiful warm sunny weather!

Here is a short video of a DOG that loves playing in the snow. Does lots of snowplowing too. lol

That is too cold. I am whining the high tomorrow suppose be in the 40's and that cold to us.

We're going into the negatives any minute. We're at 1 degree right now and should go lower. And of course it's windy, so it's dangerously cold out. Wind chills are -15 to -20 degrees.

Still 27 degrees here, northwest of chicago. Quite balmy for winter standards.

Mikeeee

We are in the negative now and it is just going to get colder...windchills -25 to -35 tonight. Our high temp tomorrow is 0. We won't even have a temperature tomorrow! I can deal with it, though. I'm leaving for SC on Tuesday!!

We're at 4 degree's before the wind and my son spent six hours on a Mountain snowboarding today, life is good :thumbsup2 Just bundle up and enjoy the powder :goodvibes

-10 right now, been below zero all week. Definitely not typical for this time of year and we've had a lot of houses burn down in my area from people who are using alternate heating or haven't been taking care of their furnaces. Make sure you heat your house safely!

Down here in Georgia, a person can get whiplash from the quick changes in the weather! Yesterday: 69 degrees, today: 62 degrees (low of 50), tomorrow night: low of 18, then a high of 34 on Monday!!

No wonder I can't get rid of the sniffles.

I think it's about 15 here. It has already started snowing again!!!!! My poor DH is still exhausted from plowing people out Friday night. I'm working all day at Penney's and a lot of the employees have already called to say they wouldn't be coming in today, so we will have a skeleton crew. I think I'll bring my lunch out to the jewelry dept. with me because there probably won't be enough staff to cover lunch breaks......
Stay warm everyone!

I'm SO disappointed, we had tickets to the Patriots game today, great seats on the Patriots sideline and we were supposed to take our 12 yr old nephew with us who's eyes lit up when we asked him if he wanted to go. I'm a little less concerned about the drive down, although even that could be bad, but the drive back could definitely be treacherous (here in Maine we're supposed to get gale force winds and anywhere from 10-24" of snow).

Since there's no chance of an NFL game being postponed because of snow it's looking like we're going to miss out on the game.:(

It is -13° here with wind chills in the -40° range. We got about 5" of snow yesterday but the high winds and cold temps are creating blizzard conditions through most of the state. Don't stick your tongue to any flagpoles today!

2-3 inches of snow last night, not much at all, but third storm in past 7 days, other two pretty good depths. :scratchin Temp now -9º wind chill at -32º. Bears game tomorrow, on the Lake front, should be interesting.

38 below windchill here. thru tuesday. This is on top of a ton of snow.

I guess we welcomed in winter in a big way.
