Hey everybody!! This is my first post so excuse me if its been asked before. I looked but didnt see anything on it. I have a cannon lens that I use on a regular basis. We go to disney 1 to 2 times a year. I have done the photopass and taken my own of course many times. I am seeing more posts about Nikon lens. Im wondering what favorite cannon lens do you use? Or do you recommend Nikon?

Welcome to the DIS! :cheer2:

You'll find a nice range of Canon, Nikon, and Sony shooters here, plus a few others.

I use a Canon 6D and my favorite lens isn't even from Canon. It's a Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 VC.

When I shot with a crop sensor, my favorite was the Canon 17-55 f/2.8 IS.

I guess I just love me a fast sharp mid-range zoom with stabilization!

Don't understand the question. If you have a Canon camera, then you must use a Canon lens (or a 3rd party lens built for Canon). You can't use a Nikon lens.

Generally, you will find very similar existing lenses for each camera type. For example, they each have a 24-70/2.8.. they each have prime 50mm lenses, etc. Some of the specialty lenses differ a little bit.

Ford? Chevy? Toyota? Just brand names with different standards. Love Nikon.

I'm a Canon shooter, my go to lens is the 24-105 f/4. But if I hadn't already been pretty heavily invested in Canon when I went digital I might have gone Pentax for the amazing older lens selection. I have a Pentax 35mm SLR (circa 1962 with screw mount lenses) and the 55mm on it is far and away my favorite lens that I've ever used. There is just something about the way it renders an image that isn't matched by today's glass. It's not about sharpness, or bokeh, or any other label people try to tag a lens with. It's just an overall feel of the images I get with it that I love.

Brand is irrelevant. It's personal taste.
