Does anyone happen to know when canning supplies typically go on good sales/clearance?

Thanks!

for the more costly items like pressure canners, canning pots, ricers and such-check out thrift stores, goodwill and the like. it's not unusual to find well made items that people donate after a family member who was into canning passes.

I've never thought about canning supplies going on sale! All I ever need to buy are rings and lids usually. I have SO many jars I'll never have to buy them again. :):)

I get rings etc at the end of summer / early fall on clearance at my local tractor supply and other locally owned farm & garden supply stores. I've gotten great deals on all sorts of canning equipment though it's very much hit or miss.

We always have to buy jars because we give stuff away and the jars rarely make it back to us. Sometimes I find some lids marked down but usually most is gone around here. I'll have to check out the tractor supply.

I inherited gobs of jars when my Mom moved. Plus we usually are trading canned good so the jars go back and forth :) Never thought of Tractor Supply either....I gotta branch out and shop some place other than walmart :)

I buy them at garage sales - esp when it's a little old lady... I'll just ask if she cans & if she has any jars to sell. I've gotten huge tubs full of assorted jars for $5-10.

There were some canning things on clearance at Target. I didn't get a close look since I was in a hurry. They were on an end cap in the kitchen section.

Meijer has canning stuff marked down but it's only a few cents off. I'll wait
