Anyone know when the dinner packages for this years Candlelight Processional will be released? What about the speakers?

Could someone explain what the package is please? We are planning to go in December and have not been at this time of year before, so would appreciate a little help to be able get the most from the festivities.

The package consists of "reserved" seating for the show and, IMHO, access to prime ADR times.

Honestly, the reserved seating benefit was not necessary when we did the package in 2004 (early Dec.). I booked the package mostly for the ADR times and the convenience of paying in advance.

Not sure we will book this again this year. As I wrote above, the seating benefit is irrelevant for us (2 adults, btw). We will also be on the DDP, so the paying in advance benefit is gone as well.

That said, it should be interesting how Disney Dining deals with the new extended ADR booking period. By my calculations, I should be able to make me ADRs in early June, but in the past the packages have not been offered until mid-August. Perhaps someone else can extrapolate on this.

Again, it was not worth it for us, but if I had a few kids in tow, I might consider it. Hope that was helpful! Good luck on your trip!!

We went Christmas week, and probably would not have tried without the seating. Since we were on the Dining plan, we were able to use that for the package, ate at San Angel, were given a pin for the Processional, and went to the line going from the stage toward France. We did not wait as long for seating, could have sat right up front, but chose seats just behind the first group as we were about even height wise with the speaker, and did not have to look up. We were right in the middle, and had a great view of the entire stage. While we were in line we used our Snack credits for hot chocolate. Lots of fun. Our Narrator was John Stamos.

When I called and asked, the CM had just had a meeting and said the packages would be out in late May due to the new 180 ADR window. Time will tell if that is accurate.

Thanks everyone! Am planning on going my first night at WDW. Have done this twice in the past (arrive the day after Thanksgiving) and, for me, it's a great way to start my vacation and the holiday's. I've always done a pkg plan for this, as this way I know I'm getting the show and restaurant that I want.

Thanks again!
