The package consists of "reserved" seating for the show and, IMHO, access to prime ADR times.
Honestly, the reserved seating benefit was not necessary when we did the package in 2004 (early Dec.). I booked the package mostly for the ADR times and the convenience of paying in advance.
Not sure we will book this again this year. As I wrote above, the seating benefit is irrelevant for us (2 adults, btw). We will also be on the
DDP, so the paying in advance benefit is gone as well.
That said, it should be interesting how Disney Dining deals with the new extended ADR booking period. By my calculations, I should be able to make me ADRs in early June, but in the past the packages have not been offered until mid-August. Perhaps someone else can extrapolate on this.
Again, it was not worth it for us, but if I had a few kids in tow, I might consider it. Hope that was helpful! Good luck on your trip!!
