I've always wanted to do the Candlelight Processional at Disneyland and am planning to do it this year. The challenge lies in that I'm planning on going down with some friends who need to ask for time off in December well in advance so they need to start worrying about this now.

Does anyone know when the Disneyland Candlelight Processional will be this year?

The dates will not be announced for a while, but they are usually held on the first Saturday and Sunday of December, so that wouold be the 6th and the 7th of December this year. There are two shows each night at 5:30 and 8:00 I believe. :)

Here is a description of it. :) The narration of the Christmas story is done by guest celebrity.

"The experience includes narration of the traditional Christmas story with a full orchestra and the candlelit procession through Disneyland by a choral ensemble. The ensemble is composed of more than 700 singers including Disneyland cast members and more than 30 different choirs from the greater Southern California."

Thanks for that information. I was kind of afraid they wouldn't release the dates this early. I can get the time off easily enough, but I can't say the same about my friends. Do they charge more for processional tickets or is it part of regular park admission?

If you want a "chair" for the CP, you have to purchase a dinner/ticket package separately. I believe they are offered to AP's first and usually sell out pretty fast. If you don't want to pay, you can camp out for a good spot to view from behind the reserved seating area, but you need to get there pretty darn early(like hours ahead of time for the first show).

The reserved seating doesn't go on sale until November usually.

Thanks for that info. I'm an AP holder, but my friends aren't(yet anyways :rotfl: , so that's good to know.
