I am not so patiently waiting for them to release the packages for Reservations!

This calling every morning is getting old! :rotfl:

The CM I spoke with today said she had a gut that they would be released in early August this year due to the fact that the normal reservations are 90 days out this year instead of the 180 it was last year.

If that is the case I only have to call for a few more days! Hurray!
Any one else on pins and needles?

I have a large group and it just makes me nervous to not have these things planned already!:yay:

I was told 90 days by 8 different Cms.But they weren't sure whether it was each persons individual 90 days, or 90 days from the first perfromance which is Nov 27th .

I called this morning and asked the same question. The CM told me it is going to be 90 days from your check-in and she even double checked to make sure she was right. I sure hope she was.

I am betting that things go much as they have in years past, since they are already lining up that way. We have CP presenter names published a few more than 120 days before the first CP date. If the usual course of events do happen, you can more or less expect that anytime in the 30 days before the existing ADR window opens that they will start allowing the CP packages to be booked. 7/30/09 is that magical date, which with the new 2010 package details due to be dropped into the system on Sunday (8/02/2009), it makes perfect sense to me that they will start booking CP packages sometime next week. :santa:

Or I could be completely wrong!

Hope that you are right Timon-n-Pumba:thumbsup2

Now if the rest of my family would commit to joining us at WDW I would be all set.

Not there today.:worried: I love :lmao:making these early morning phone calls to Disney!

Hi Everyone,

This is the 1st year my parents and I will be in Disney for the holidays. For those of you who have done the CP before what is the best time to eat if you want to go to the second showing? Also I guess what is the better showing to go to the 2nd or 3rd or does it really matter??
Thanks so much!

Hi and :welcome: to the Dis.

We have seen the CP several times and I don't really think it make a big difference whether you go to second or third show, but we always try to go to the last one. I'm not sure why we prefer that one, but then I try and book our dinner around 5 or 5:30 so we can relax ans take our time.

We like the second show since it is still somewhat light out when the show begins and then gets dark after we are seated. We have members with vision issues and this works best for us.

To get the CP for the second show we eat pretty early. You have to eat before the show, Disney rules so we book the earliest dinner we can. Last year it was a 4:30 ADR. We barely made the show. Dinner was really slow, not us but the service.

I would prefer to see all package dates open up at the same time. This is how Disney did it in years past and I don't see why they would change. Though doing it each day 90 before would level the call volume. If they allow the 90+10 they may alienate a lot of locals who enjoy the packages since they wouldn't be able to book at the 90+10 like those staying onsite.

I don't see how they can do only 90 days for this type of event. Time will tell. But it had better be sooner than later!

I GIVE UP !!! Todays Cm on the phone said 90 days. Then told me to hold on and comes back and says maybe Late August or early Sept, but they aren't sure yet:confused3How can they not be sure?

so when I was making my June ressie thru MS today I asked about the CP and was told that "they" know nothing about the dinner package and nothing has been released. like seriously I need answers, I need a date at least. ::sigh::

I finally received some better information on the CP reservations.

I talked to a CM who just did their CP training last night. I was told that they were told that the booking for everyone will begin on August 29 but if the 90 day out rule applies to you before that then the booking will start on August 19th.

I hate this waiting. I really wish I had my ADR's done.

I was also told that the 180 days out is definitely coming back on October 27th.

The whole thing quite honestly is ridiculous. Basically the people at Disney were so busy implementing the new reservation system that they forgot about something that is a major part of peoples holiday travel to WDW. They still don’t have their act together.

Since Nov. 27 is the first night for CP, Aug. 29th is the 90 day mark. No one will be able to book before that unless they open it up before, which I hope they do.

But...if someone arrives before the 27th, they can book those first 10 days of their stay...so could conceivably be able to book the CP package several days before the 90 days prior to the first showing.
I have on issue with Disney holding the ADRs for this until the 90 day mark...I just wish they kept it at 90 days for everyone....that you can not book CP until Aug 29..no matter when you arrive. But, who knows if that will happen. Time will tell.
