Planning a trip first week of Dec 2018. Will CP be an nightly occurrence, or is it like MVMCP and only offered a few nights each week?

Some advice: Get the dining package or you may not get in, unless you line up super early. You gotta eat anyway, right?

CP is offered 3X a night usually. I agree and would do a dining package. This will give you reserved seating.

yep 3 shows per night, usually from the day after Thanksgiving through December 30.

No extra charge but you can use the dining package for guaranteed entry to the theater, which is usually recommended because this is an extremely popular event. Note that you must have your CP meal BEFORE your CP show, you can't go to the show and then go eat. You get your CP passes when you report for the meal.

We got the dining package last year for the first show and I kind of sort of wish we'd gotten a later one when it was full dark.

I would be very cautious about phrasing any dining package at any park show as, "Guaranteed entry to the theater."

While having a Dining Pkg. voucher allows entry within a certain time-frame, earlier than the stand-by line,
it does not "guarantee" guests, who wait too late arrive, a seat at the show.

Any guest, even with a Dining Pkg. voucher, needs to arrive at the entrance early.
(How early can vary, but it's safer to arrive 45-60 minutes in advance of show-time,
than to get there within the last 30 minutes.)

It is not yet available for booking.
