WE ARE GOING TO WDW THE FIRST WEEK OF DEC. ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR THE MEAL DEAL FOR THE CANDLELIGHT PROCESSIONAL. I HAVE READ THAT THIS IS A MUST SEE FOR THE CHRISTMAS SEASON.
THANKS, TRACY::MickeyMo

Welcome to the DIS Boards!!

We loved the Candlelight Processional, and it will defintely be a must-do for us any time we go in December. The dinner package worked out well for us; we had great seats and didn't have to wait in line. We chose San Angel Inn for our meal because we'd always wanted to try it, but we will try a different restaurant next time. San Angel Inn was fine, but not great, and there are so many Epcot restaurants that we still want to try. I have heard so many good reports about Le Cellier, it's at the top of our list for the next time we get to do CP.

Like Kaycee said, yes, the Candlelight Processional is a Must Do for the holiday season. We saw it for the first time last Christmas Eve and I was completely "wowed" by it.
We did the package at Le Cellier and we were happy with it. It wasnt the best meal ever(maybe I had heard too many rave reviews and was expecting more?), but not bad at all either. Id rate it a B. We would go back and eat there again, but its not must do on every trip.
Good luck deciding.

THANKS FOR THE INPUT. WHEN I LOOKED ONLINE I SAW THAT THIER ARE 3 TIES TO CHOOSE FROM. WITH A 10 DOLLAR DIFFERENCE. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW THE JAPANESE RESTAURANT COMPAIRS? WHERE IS THE AMERICA GERDENS THEATRE?
THANKS,
TRACY

I personally didn't like Teppanyaki at all, and won't go back. The food wasn't bad, just bland, boring, and overpriced. The chef didn't put on any special show, and we have better teppan dining closer to home.

I love the Candlelight Processional, though, and we always do the package. Le Cellier is my favorite Disney restaurant, I highly recommend it as well.

One tip is to sit a bit further back during the processional, you get the whole presentation instead of just seeing the front row.

We've done the CP Dinner Pkg for 2 years now. It is one of our must do for December trips.

Since we usually have a large lunch and lighter dinner, we do Akershus (Norway) for the CP Pkg, as it and Chefs de France are or two favorite WS restaurants, and we prefer Chefs for lunch. As far as the tier pricing, they are all the same seats at the show, so dinner price has no effect...it just depends on your preference and some restaurant menus are just naturally more expensive than others. I would schedule my PS so that there is about 45 minutes between the time you leave the restaurant and your show time...there is still a line (though shorter) even with the package. Or you could schedule an earlier show and a later dinner. Whatever works for you. But yes, I would definately recommend getting a CP Pkg.

SORRY EVERYONE I GUESS I HIT THE BUTTON 2 TO MANY TIMES. I GET INPATIENT. FOR THE LAST REPLY. OOPS!!!!

The theater is at the very back of Epcot as part of the American pavillion. The stage faces out to the sidewalk with the seats facing the lake. It can be chilly in Dec., so think about a jacket.

Is a must see and if you're planning on eating dinner at Epcot,go for the dinner package. We have done this 10 times and are planning on doing again this year.We are going to make LeCellier the dining portion part of our package this year our favorite place to dine at Epcot. With the dinner package you will get a great seat for Candlelight performance with out having to que up 1 and 1/2 hours before show.::yes:: :wave2:

No problem! Double & triple posts seem to pop up from time to time. Its taken care of. :D

We also had PS for the Candlelight Processional- saw it on the last night and were glad we did! The kids wanted Chinese which I couldn't imagine having but the Nine Dragons was wonderful and not overly booked! We have eaten most everywhere in WDW over the years and I would recommend it- especioally if some one loves Chinese!

We did the CP last year and loved it. In fact it's a big reason we're going back at Thanksgiving this year. Great way to start the holiday season. My dd and I ate at the Garden Grill and it was really quite good. We've eaten there before but it was better for CP package. Don't know why, it just was. Only problem is it's a long walk from GG to the show. If you cut it too close time-wise you could have a problem.

I also think you are better off sitting further back. We were in the middle, 2/3 of the way back and it was wonderful. You saw everything with-out craning your neck.

When do they usually allow you to book this? Thanks

Last year this was opened for booking the last week in August. The celebrity readers were not announced until later though if that matters.

Disneyjunkie, the price depends on what restaurant you choose. There are 3 different price tiers with a few different restaurants under each tier. The 3 different prices last year were 28.99, 34.99, and 41.99, with kids being 10.99 for all.

Does anyone know if you can use your Silver Plan wishes for this package?

Also, I called Disney Dining to ask this question, and the CM that I talked to did not seem to know anything about the package. In fact, he said that I would probably want to call CRO for information.

My guess is that I was talking to the right location, just an unknowledgeable CM. This should work like the Fantasmic Dinner Package shouldn't it?

I have been to this twice and have really enjoyed it. I would do the dinner package, attend the 2nd showing of CP and do dinner at the Rose & Crown AFTER the show. This way you get a great meal, then enjoy Illuminations from there.

Wow! You guys must be reading my mind as I was just thinking about this :D . We will have ds 5y with us so I was thinking of doing GG as early as I can get the PS and then doing either the second or third CP. How early do you have to arrive at the American Pavillion if you have the package?

Thats what we did, Vald1977. We got a CP package PS for 4:20, but at Le Cellier. After dinner we just walked over to America and went into the 6:45 show. We probably arrived at the show maybe 1/2 hour in advance and walked right in.

We did this back in Dec when visiting WDW. It was a great show. We loved every minute of it.

We ate at Coral Reef which is one of my families must eat at when we go to WDW. The only problem this night was you don't get to eat from the regular menu. I liked their regular menu better so it wasn't as good. We decided next time we go we will pick a different place to eat at for this package. I have heard that Chefs de France is good if you can get that with the package.
