We are planning a trip in December and would like to see the Candlelight Processional and we are considering the dinner package. My question is, do you order off the regular menu at the restaurants or does the package include a certain dinner or one of two choices type of thing? Thanks for the help!!

We just did this this past December... We ate at LeCelliers in Canada and we had choice of the entire menu. We wound up packing up dessert because there was just so much food.

Yep, the entire menu...except lobster in one or two of the restaurants.

We were given a very limit desert menu at San Anglo Inn in Mexico. The rest of the meal we had full choice of the menu. We did however receive very rushed service during the CP. The line to get into the show was just as long for the CP line as the stand by line and everyone got in so I am not sure we will do the package again. We did however still enjoy the meal and the show.

Got the entire choice of the menu at Rose and Crown too. However, I have to agree with Jordan's Mom. I went 3 nights, once on package, twice without (LOVED Candlelight Processional) and the line was just as long with as without the package. However, I wonder how much more than the cost of the meal I paid if anything. The one night I had the package, I ended up in the first row (only thing available) and got some neat pictures of the specific instruments and the conductor (DS was interested-music major).

Even though we wanted to go to Le Cellier, we ended up at Garden Grill for the kiddos. The food was ok (bread and salad dressing were great!! oh yeah, the cobbler too!! ), but the best part was the character interaction! The characters came by so many times, and played with all three 2 yo's at our table. It was really nice. And, we loved the rotating scenes...

My wife and myself have done the CP the last two years and we thought it was a great deal. We ate at Chef De'France this past year and Rose & Crown Pub the year before. We always get a good seat down front this way without having to wait in line very long.

Full menu at Marakesh, too. Was a good value for us, especially since it includes tip! We did have quite a few tasty beverages (party of 20!), though, so we had a separate bill for all that! Had no complaints of rushed or hurried service as some folks have when on CP package. The CM's at Marakesh were fabulous, so warm, so inviting...we'll definitely be going back!

AutumnGirl What a great idea!! I did not think of boxing our dessert for later!

The price for dinner at Le Cellier was actually a little cheaper than without the pkg., but we normally don't eat appetizer, entree and dessert, so it was a wash!! And the day we chose, the line for the CP was clear past Japan!!! Everybody was wondering if people not in the pkg. line would even get a seat, but it was amazing, everybody did!!

We had excellent service, not rushed at all.

And, BTW, if you really want to eat at the most popular Epcot rest. during Dec. you must make a PS - there were a lot of people at Le Cellier that didn't get in, due to the volume of CP diners.

We did San Angel Inn last December and our server told us we could order anything off the menu. For dessert, we were told there was only one choice... a flan. There were two other tables beside us didn't like flans and said they didn't want them. We had them and thought it was pretty good... not the best dessert I've ever had though. Our waiter let us take our time and we didn't feel rushed at all.

We've done the CP dinner package at several places, and the only time I remember them limiting the menu, was if the appetizer was listed as "For 2", then you had to use it for 2 people's apps.

I've never eaten at San Angel for the CP, but why do they see the need to force everyone to eat the same dessert?? I'll have to remember that one - thanks!!

I know - we did the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose's, and there was only one dessert choice (tiramisu, I believe). We liked it, but I didn't understand the reasoning behind it either. I guess they want to only make a lot of one dessert?
