The Candlelight Processional Dining Package says it includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. So is that true when using the dining plan as well? Maybe that's why it's 2 credits. That will be an awfully lot of food.

All CP packages are 2 (table service) dining credits per person. Because they are a package, they include ALL package components, which in the case of the meal means you are entitled to an appetizer, entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage (at a la carte restaurants - at buffet or family style you get the full buffet or the regular family style menu.)

Is it allowed to be used with the DP? I thought I had to pay OOP for it?

Yes- Candlelight Processional dinner package is 2 credits on the dining plan. It includes appetizer, entree, dessert, and a non-alcoholic beverage.

Seems like it would be a better use of your credits to pay for a lunch package OOP. I think that is what we will do this year.

that's a great point. In my situation, we have upgraded for free QS to Reg Dining Plan so, I'm only paying about 20 a day for food. We also have 9 nights and 8 days and our first night, we do not arrive until late in the evening so we will have an extra TS to be used and figured this is a great way to squeeze it in without additional money OOP

We are looking at paying OOP for the CP package. To me, that seems like a better use of our credits as we are looking to book one for lunch. I can't wait to find out who the narrator is for our day at Epcot and when these packages will be released!

I was going to pay OOP for the package but then when I realized how much it was costing me to add a few OOP things into my regular DDP, it made more sense to upgrade to the DxDDP.

You can elect to pay for Candle light package OOP if you have the dining plan though, yes? That is what I am hoping to do as I think that will be the way to get the most value from the Dining Plan.

yes, disney will let you pay for anything you want extra and above the dining plan. they will never turn your money away!

I had the DlxDP for one day last year (one of the few good things about a DVC split stay :)) and used 1 credit for Minnie's Holiday Dine F! package (would have been $53 or so OOP) and 2 credits the following evening for the CP Package at Chefs de France ($77 or so OOP). I thought about just paying OOP for the CP dinner, but was having a hard time paying all that $$ for Coral Reef or CdF. Was a no brainer to switch to DlxDP since it was the first night of a 9 night trip, because we then had our mugs for the entire stay. I was very happy we decided to do the package at Chefs. It allowed me to get the beef tenderloin with no guilt. Enjoyed the meal so much I went back on my next trip!
