Need help.

Is it better to eat before the CP or after the CP.

Each has it's pros and cons. For me I think I'm going to eat before because I have little ones. I want to eat early, like around 4:30p and then see the 6:45p show (because it's not too late AND because it's dark out).

I want it to be dark out for the show and I want my kids not to be too tired eating in the restaurant...so after the 6:45p show is too late for us.

But if you don't have little ones, I think eating after is great because then you can take your time eating and not rush to the show line.

Good luck deciding!

We tried going to the first show and eating afterwards and were disappointed that it wasn't dark yet so we missed the "candlelight" part of the processional. This time, we'll go to a later show and base our dinner time on which restaurant we choose.

We prefer to see the show first and eat later. No worry about being rushed during dinner or sitting through the show with that "too full" feeling if I eat more than I should (which happens way more than it should!).

I think we'll eat first, since the earlier dining times tend to be easier to get, and we want to avoid the dining crowds as much as possible. Service seems to be quicker the earlier you dine. I like to get the first ADR at restaurant opening. Besides, the earlier I eat, the less hungry I get, the less likely I am to overeat, and the cheaper it is (we're not using the Dining Plan...it's too much of a temptation to overeat, for me.).

Besides, I'm hoping to do other things in the evening, and the earlier we eat, the earlier we can see CP (planning on 6:45 p.m.), and the more likely we'll have a full evening to set up other things to do (maybe the Illuminations cruise!).

Ditto what beattyfamily said. I'm hoping for a 4:30/4:45 ADR at LeCellier as part of the CP dinner pkg.

Question: With the dinner pkg, do you get an appetizer AND salad or is it one or the other? I have yet to see any firm rules on what you can/can't order. I doubt alcoholic beverages are included. But I read on Allears that the gratuity IS included, which is nice (if true).

I have never been to the CP before but I think we will see the 6:45 show and eat afterwards. I like to relax when I am eating out so don't want to rush the meal.

Thanks poohj80!! Has anyone been able to pickup their CP dinner pkg vouchers at their resort desk? We're staying at BWV and going to the CP dinner pkg the night we arrive. I'd like to avoid walking to the main entrance if I can. Doesn't Epcot know they have 2 entrances? (I know, minor gripe)

ccgegg,
In 2003 we would get a voice mail at the AKL stating to go to the reservations desk and they would give us our tickets for the CP. No one else seems to be mentioning this. When making your reservation for CP dinner state you will staying at BWV and they should be able to send them there, unless they have changed this practice.

If it works like it did last year, you will be able to pick up your CP materials at any of the on site resorts.

Your reservation info is in the computer - all they do is print it off when you appear in front of them. Shouldn't matter where you pick it up.

We picked ours up at the BWV last year and I'm planning to pick it up there again this year.

Best wishes-

Last year we picked up the vouchers at the resort. Just tell them where you are staying when you make the reservation.
