Candlelight Processional and monorail

In another thread, somebody said something about using the monorail to avoid the CP crowds. Would we get on the monorail outside of the park entrance, and then get off at Tomorrowland? We would like to get to Fantasyland during the CP. Would the train do the same thing for us, or is it shut down during the CP?

Assuming they are both running they would. I don't know if either run during the fireworks. Someone should confirm this though, I just have seen the monorail closed and haven't notice the trains wistle.



FYI the monorail doesn't just stop outside the entrance it stops in DTD near the DLH hotel.

The monorail will run during CP, as it doesn't go overhead. The train, from what I remember during our two early December trips, does NOT, as it would make lots of noise and impact the CP.

So create a reason for you to be in the "back" of downtown disney (visit the Lego store? dine at Rainforest Cafe? check out the Disneyland Hotel? see a movie at the theater?), get on the monorail, and wind up in Tomorrowland, and then walk back towards Fantasyland.
