So, this is my first Trip Report so thought I would start with a pre trip.
First I would like to introduce the cast:
Me:
Heather...26 years old, I work for a travel agent in the UK, former Discovery Cove reservationist...Nightmare Before Christmas, Bettie Page obsessive. Also, I'm a teenage cancer survivor. Had chemo and radio...nearly died and all that good stuff. So when we go to Disney I use an ECV because my tumor was on my spine and I have no feeling in my right leg.
My mama
Krys...celebrating her 57th birthday at the world...loves Pooh but hates Disney Princesses because they promote 'unnattainable beliefs in expectations'. I think she's just an old sceptic!
Me and my bf are paying for her trip because she has had a horrible year. Last year she relapsed with bowel cancer. In 2000, just after I went into remission, she was diagnosed with bowel and bladder cancer and had to have major surgery, chemo and radio. It came back in 07 and she had more surgery. Like me, she will most likely get an ECV because she gets very tired very easily.
My DBF
Stephen...23 years old going on 80...you know when people say people have an old head...he really, really does. This is his second trip to the world (my mum and I have been countless times) and he is really excited. He is a frustrated artist and is looking forward to airbrush shopping more than Disney!
He was diagnosed with cancer in 05 and we met through the ward we were both treated on. He had radio to his head and neck and also chemo. As a result of this he goes bright red in the sun which should make for some funny pics.
