Not sure where this question belongs, but I figured someone here might be able to help...

My dad slipped on a wet floor at Target this morning and broke his hip. Well, more like shattered it...it will take at least a year to recover. We were booked for Disney this May, and I had the airfare purchased, too. Fortunately, I bought the trip insurance. Now I'm unsure how to proceed. Do I cancel the flights first, and then file for the insurance?

Any help is appreciated! Hoping the process is easy, as I have enough
other things to worry about now!

I don't know anything about the trip insurance but I hope your Dad is ok. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

I've had to do this before - my mother got sick and couldn't take a cruise. I called the insurance company first and asked them what to do - before I did anything, because it could vary between different insurance companies.

I do know that you will need either a doctors note or in our case, they sent us a form that we had to have the doctor complete.
