Cancelling cruise -- questions

We purchased our cruise through Dreams Unlimited. We are very pleased at the price but decided that we just can't give up our annual trip to WDW so are foregoing the cruise. I purchased travel insurance. Can I cancel this and receive any of the money back? Will I receive my deposit back from the cruise? We are not sailing until January 21, 2006 so was wondering if I would receive my $1000 back. Any help would be appreciated.

If you cancel prior to the final payment due date, you will receive a full refund of your deposit.

We were also faithful WDW goers.....actually went several times a year for a our family trips.....but I have to tell you....we actually prefer the cruise over WDW...don't get me wrong...still love WDW but dollar for dollar the cruise is better and much, much more releaxing and we are still able to get our Disney fix.

Not sure which cruise you are on, but why not consider a shorter cruise to see if you like it combined with your trip to WDW. You booked well in advance of your cruise and probably got a great rate...you should try it!!!

I have to agree with mmouse37 we were avid Disney World guests and have not had the urge to go back since discovering the cruise 2 years ago! Actually, I think the cruise, for us, is cheaper! Just a thought...........give it some time and think about it. You have plenty of time to cancel and get a refund. Make sure you don't want to try something new. The world is a very big place..........think about if you want to see another part of it?

You should have no problem getting your deposit back, cancelling now.

Just want to say that we are taking our first cruise in May. I also, thought really serious about canceling the cruise because I didn't want to miss out on our yearly wdw trip, but I didn't and now that we are 48 days away I am sure glad that I didn't cancel. I think it will be great to try a new thing. We may actually swing by wdw on our way home for a day if we still have the urge after the trip.
