My ex decided to go to WDW with me and my mom Sept 22nd-30th. I just called and can't believe I was able to cancel all of our old ADRs for two and then rebook them for tables for three. I was even able to get them for the exact same times (except for three: 12:10 for a 12N, 4:50pm for a 4:00pm, and 8:20am for a 8:30pm). The only ones I couldn't rebook were our Fantasmic Pkg, Hoop de Doo, and the Luau because the part of their computers that take credit cards is down. The only one I couldn't change to a table for three was Whispering Canyon, (believe it or not). She said to just keep it and show up with three.
The one bad thing she told me is that when I rebook Hoop de Doo and the Luau I will probably lose our good seats as our booking date will go from early April to late June and seats are assigned according to when they are booked.
If anyone is interested I cancelled tables for two at Chef Mickey's (B), Rose & Crown (D), Chef de France (L), Tempanyaki (D), San Angel Inn (L), Marrakesh (D), Whispering Canyon (D), Planet Hollywood (L), Cap'n Jack's (D), and Donald's Breakfastosaurus (B).
I really didn't think I would be able to get hardly any of them at this late date,so was pleasantly shocked when I had no problems. Maybe the free dining period is not going to be that busy afterall.
