OK so I am trying to prepare myself for a phone call that I have to make tomorrow. We are 11 days out and just found out that one of our party is not going to be able to go. We are staying in park with magic your way plus / 7 day...so will we get any refund or are we just out of luck!
Thanks for any help in preparing me for the worst!

Sorry for your cancellation, :( but I'm not understanding why you have to cancel with just one not going. :confused3

Sorry for not explaining clearly. We only need to cancel for the one person not the whole party. But we were paying for the one person that is now not able to go so we are just curious if we will get any of that money back or are we just out $500 plus dollars.

If you are talking about just tickets, there are no refunds on those. The only thing to do is save them for another trip because they are not activated until the first use. Sorry about the change in your plans.

Do you have a package with dining? For $500 there sounds like there would be more than the 7 day pass in question. Is it an adult? Let us know what happens!

It is for a teenager so it is an adult price. And no there is not a meal plan. The price inlcudes the cost of hotel and magic your way plus tickets for 7 days. I just hope we can at least some back. As far as saving the tickets for another trip I doubt there will be another trip any time some (maybe not for a few years) so that really is not good news. Guess we just didn't plan to well!

How many people are in the room? If there's more than 2, there shouldn't be a room charge for the teen, they would be considered a "junior" (unless they are over 18).

I was just reading the cancellation policies on disneyworld.com, the most you should have to pay is $100:

>>>For a cancellation made 44 to 6 days prior to arrival, there is an additional cancellation fee of $100 per package plus any cancellation fees assessed by hotels or other suppliers<<<<

Since you aren't cancelling in total, I wouldn't be surprised if they refunded you the whole amount for the extra person.

Since you are more than 6 days out and are just changing your reservation not cancelling it entirely, you will pay a change fee 100.00 and then they will refund you the difference.

Call asap. Depends where you booked. I thought there ws a 5 day cancellation policy - and you are just adjusting - I wouldn't think this would be a big deal! Just call ASAP!!

Unfortunately you're incorrect here. There are 2 cancelation policies.

#1, Room Only: If you're cancelling outside of 5 days, no problem full refund. Inside of 5 days, you lose 1 night stay.

#2, Package: Changes made outside of 45 days, no cost, Changes made between 45 days and 14 days, $50 change feee. Between day 14 and day 0, $50 change fee + $10 express fee. CANCELLATIONS: Outside of 45 days, full refund. Inside 45 days but before 6 Days $100 cancellation fee. From day 5 to day 0, you will lose your $200. 00 Deposit.

If what I'm reading is correct, You're making a change, and are within the 14 days prior to arrival, you'll have to pay $60. The rest should be reunded.

We got a full refund for the one person :cool1:
since it was a change and not a cancellation of the entire party!
Now I can stop worrying and start packing!!!

Correction: Our agent told us it was a full refund but we did not do the math while we were on the phone...after doing the math we just realized there was a $60 difference...but hey that's what I expected so I'm not complaining!
